Yes, r5017 appears to be relatively stable and if I didn't introduce new
bugs then r5018 should be even more stable. I'll release that as a beta
in a few minutes. (I haven't yet solved the performance problem reported
by Max in another thread.)

For me startup time is about half of what it was for the 32 bit
version (while also using less memory), but I've made a lot of changes
which means there is great potential for various bugs. I'll write you
off list to get more information about what makes it slow for you.

The latest beta includes a few important bug fixes, but I don't think
it can explain your slow startups (well, I'm not 100% sure about
that): http://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_r5017.tbz

(right now it definitely does not start faster for me)

I'm sure it will be eventually :-)

I wouldn't have expected that to make a difference when you do not get
any output in the Activity Viewer. Nevertheless, here is the latest 64

This only works if you are already on the 64 bit builds. The first time
requires a manual download. This was mainly done because the 64 bit
builds were both slower and used a lot more memory. This is not the case
for the next build though which I'll post here soon (it might be more
buggy than the 32 bit build since it hasn't been tested by a lot of
people).

In that case I think you would have failures reported by MailMate.

I've recently (last few weeks) had a number of reports about SMTP
servers being reported as “unreachable” by a system API. I'm not

[MlMt] MailMate not sending emails at all

2014-11-03 Thread Andreas Kaiser
Hi all,

MailMate recently completely stopped sending emails. All mails are stuck in the
Drafts folders with “State” being "Pending submission" and "Pending submission”
being "not available" (greyed out).

I haven't changed any of my account settings and triple checked them for

also tried a different SMTP host with the same results. Both accounts are
working fine in Mail.app with the exact same settings.

Any pointers are highly appreciated.
