Hi,

we dont have a proxy server, but in case you are right, would it be possible to save layer changes?

I can save layer changes but I cant save map changes, isnt that strange?

If I m connected over localhost everything works fine.

So I dont think it is because of the Roles.

I would suggest running fiddler (a http request monitor)

sometimes there is a transparent proxy on your network

are you running IIS or Apache?

[mapguide-users] How many of you are still on 2.2 or older?

2013-06-12 Thread Jackie Ng
Hi All,

I'm looking to start preparations for beginning the release cycle for
MapGuide Open Source 2.5.1 and 2.4.1 and I'm interested to know how many of
you are still on 2.2 or an older release?

I ask this question because I will soon be drafting up a new RFC which if
adopted will be implemented for trunk and these point releases and it
concerns a somewhat major security vulnerability in the mapagent (whose
details will be fully made available when the RFC is made public and ready
for review). I need a gauge of how many users could possibly be left out of
this fix given the milestones I intend to target with this RFC.

Thanks,

- Jackie

Re: [mapguide-users] How many of you are still on 2.2 or older?

2013-06-12 Thread Gabriele Monfardini
I have some MapGuide 2.2.

The reasons are the followings:

  * I use an unusual setup: Linux (centos), PostgreSQL (using OGR
Provider).
My installation of MapGuide 2.2 are under centos 5, while the our Mapguide
2.4 are under centos 6.
It takes some time to migrate from Mapguide 2.2 to Mapguide 2.4
  * Most importantly, I have a strange annoying bug in MapGuide 2.4 that
I've reported on the list without success (I've now opened
https://trac.osgeo.org/mapguide/ticket/2292 with some info)

Briefly I should have the time to test MapGuide 2.5

[mapguide-users] Zoom to selection doesn't work after opening quick plot window.

2013-06-12 Thread Berg, James
Windows Server 2003r2 32bit
MapGuide Open Source 2.4
AJAX Viewer
Maestro 5.0RC

Hello, all

My MapGuide application uses the main frame method ExecuteMapAction(10) to zoom
to selections on the map. However, every time I use those functions after
opening the quick plot window I get a javascript error featIds.Items is null
or not an object and the zoom fails. I run these functions from a popup
window and my code looks like this:

  parent.SetSelectionXML(selectionXml);
  parent.ExecuteMapAction(10);

Creating the selection with the first line still works.

What do you think?

Thanks!

I am still using 2.2 but in the process of migrating to 2.5 (as advised due
to the issues of memory leaks with the Java API in 2.2). I had to create a
custom build of 2.5 since there was no release build for our target OS RHEL

work with the same flair as did our previous fusion client running on 2.2.
Thanks for all the support.
