Hi! I tested Mapguide 4.0 and Postgresql15(Postgis 3.3.2) and I can say it's working. Kajar Hi, The current PostgreSQL version is 16. Support for version 11 will end in February 2024 (AWS RDS PostgreSQL 11 must be migrated). So, the most advanced PostgreSQL version the new Mapguide 4.0 will support is version 12 ? It is not possible a more recent version ? It is a FDO limitation ? Hi! I have tried v14 lipg.dll and this is not compatible with current FDO. Thank you! I just needed to replace container MapRightclickMenu to MapContextMenu and now its working. Hi Kajar, In your ApplicationDefiniton resource, do you have a Container with the name MapContextMenu ? MapContextMenu ContextMenu top etc (look at the attached file) The warning is displayed when the Container is missing from the resource. In Maestro you can edit the resource by opening your Flexible Layout and click on the menu [Edit as XML] at the top. [mapguide-users] Mapguide FDO connection to Postgresql 14
Hi! I can confirm that Mapguide 3.1.2(Win 64bit) not able to connect Postgres 14 database. I just wanted to try it, because Autocad 2022 MAP which also uses FDO can successfully connect to Postgres 14, ofcourse it uses FDO 4.2 version. Didnt' found that there are any FDO 4.2 to download, seems that Autodesk provides its own version. Tried also copy new dll's(PostgresqlProvider, libpq,libeay32 and ssleay32 also updated providers.xml) from Autodesk install directory, but without any luck. It seems that React layout dont follow selection panel "Selection renderer" settings(Default or horizontal) defined for flexible layouts and by default it is same like flexible default. It seems that there are problems with Google API version again. Couple of days back I noticed that some layers are acting strang: disappear in some map scale when zoom in or out. I checked error on site, and it saying you api version is retired. I was using 3.35, currently supported is 3.37. I changed it to 3.37, errors are gone but layer still acting the same. Everyone else haven't noticed something strange? [mapguide-users] Mapguide Postgis layers issue
I'm trying to find fix for issue related to Postgresql/Postgis layers. I'm using latest mapguide 3.1.2 Problem is that some layers based the Postgfresql source will be unavailable in map when I have made changes in database(created some new table). I need to save/refresh Postgres data connection every time I have made changes in database to make layers visible again. It's kind of strange, I understand that new tables are not visible without refreshing data connection during new layer creation, but for existing ones, its not make sense. Does anyone have experienced same problem? Also what is suggested approach: make one Postgres data connection for all layers(tables in same database) or create separate Postres datasources for every layer. [mapguide-users] Mapguide 4K issue
Hi! I'm experiencing strange issue using Mapguide map application in 4K monitor. Problem: when I open map in 4K monitor then WMS layers are not become visible. For FHD monitor or viewing it in laptop screen those WMS layers are visible. At first I thought its some browser issue, but currently same same issue happens with Chrome and also Firefox. Of course I use latest browser versions, maybe this is the source of issue. Actually previously(with my old laptop) I was able to see those WMS layers in 4K resolution without issue. Cant figure out is it still some browser issue or what else it can be. Maybe enyone else have experiencing same problem and found some fix for that. At first I just wanted to get confirmed that I used all needed parameters for url. Now I can say that those parameters are ok, some of my layout are working with index,php, but some will fail. It seems that all layouts where I use more than one map definition will fail to load. I'll investigate further and when I stuck, then I'll share errors. HI! Is there a way to configure distance measure widget to support also pan during measure process by clicking mouse middle button. Currently pan working somehow, but you must click twice in pan button and then you can start placing distances using mouse right click and pan works with left click. It good to avoid this two time clicking for pan function. Maybe there are way to enable pan initially when measure widget starts? I have same problems and this is not related to schema override. I have created layers based on views with joins and selection work as it should. For me it happens also for layers which feature source are tables without any join. Try to create new map and use same problematic layer, I have tried and then selection works, but not always. Sometimes I create new layer and then it start working. This is strange and not fully understandable why its happens, its a bit random. Is there a way to create coordinate override for "Link to view" widget. My map using EPSG:3857 coordinate system. I want to create Mapguide map links for point objects using those map extent parameters: generate map extent using point coordinates, but my points are in different coordinate system. I know I can tranform my points to desired coords system, but if there a way to use some tranforming for link to view widget. Now I was able to get schema override working for Postgresql. What I did was just merge connection xml and schema xml into one xml and use it in Maestro "Edit Configuration document". Selection works also nicely now when using joins in view. [mapguide-users] Postgresql/Postgis schema override
HI! Does anyone have got working this schema override for Postgresql/Postgis connection. I'm dealing with views where are the joins and for that I thought to use this old post: https://themapguyde.blogspot.com/2010/08/using-fdo-schema-overrides.html I can only export one schema and not whole connection info like in sample post. I was able to export Postgres schema in xml using Fdo Toolbox, but when I use it in Maestro as resource data file then spatial extents will be gone and features landing in wrong place and also search point layer give me error. Do I need to export also connection xml schema to maestro and add both: schema info and also connection xml configurtion files into. It was problem also for me with Osgeo mapguide, when I used Studio for setting up Google api key. How I got it working: 1)Open same layout you created with Studio in Maestro, open layout as xml and delete google script row. 2)Set api key for Google maps using Maestro and save. 3)Open same layout again in Studio and untick option which points Google api and save. This was working for me. Only problem I have is that Google API key checker not recognizing any API key my site is using, but Google maps at least loading. When I open same layout in xml editor, then api key is actually presented in there. Hi! After upgrading Fusion to 3.1.1(with google patch) now I'm experiencing issue with one point layer search. After clicking on search result row I'm getting error in map: Exception occurred in AJAX callback. Message: Cannot read property 'hasSelection' of null Location: undefined (undefined). Before the upgrade this was working. What does this error actually mean? This is related only this particular layer I use for searching. Yes "&" did the trick when using index.php and I got Google basemap also working with it. Actually Studio creates ? instead of &. Now I was able to get this test build working, but now I have truble using Google maps. I tried to set APi key using latest Maestro and also with Studio 2017. When I try to update current version of fusion(latest mapguide 3.1.1) to the leatest test version then my previously created layouts refuse to work. What I did: download new fusion and replaced the old fusion folder under Mapguide install. After server restart I'm not able to view prviously created layouts and also not able to see any new layouts in browser. Does I have to do anything else to force new build of fusion to work? It happened after Google Maps stopped working and I was pushed to use Openstreetmap(Mapnik) as default background. I'm little confused how permission management working for Mapguide. What I want to do is setup user rights to view or not to view some layers. When user logs in then some layers are not accessible. I do almost same but using SHP. I wanted to use Sqlite at first, but Autocad MAP 3d have bug to export to Sqlite using command in command line scripts, so I was pushed to use SHP. Every night scripts collects information from 80 drawings and creating one SHP from dwg data. So SHP is overwrite the old one every night. I'm using connection to SHP not uploading it to repository and for me its work perfectly. Maybe you need to use alternative format. I have made lot of research related this issue I'm experiencing and found that Studio is not breaking layout for react but issue is related to map definition. When creating map with Studio and set map extent using "use current map zoom to set these coordinates" and then use this map and react layout then layer is not fully visible. Even if layer in Studio map preview seems fully visible is not correctly visible using react layout. When you use same map which was previously created by Studio and use Maestro to create new extent for map and save the map, then layer is correctly visible using react layout. So Studio map view extent generation causing some error for react layout. I added also package I made for better understand the problem. Some explanation using package: Studio_map_false: this is map created with Studio and added extents for map. Studio_map_true: this is fixed map( new extent for map) by Maestro. Studio_flex_true: layout created with Studio using map definition(Studio_map_true) which works with react. Studio_flex_false: layout created with Studio using map definition(Studio_map_false) which is causing faulty layer visibility with react. This is so annyoing. I have same problem in three different servers I have(win 7 and win 10 and MG 3.1). Strange is when using Sheboygan sample then react layouts working as it should. But when I use my own made maps then react not working. Maybe this is some some CS problem. I use EPSG:3301 and 3857. Sheboygan uses 4326 but also 3857 and both working. Somebody have any idea, whats can be wrong? But Sheboygan webloyout working normally so something must be wrong with my own map or layout. When using sidebar.html template and web layouts then in viewer(chrome, firefox) I got only a slice of map not full map as it was defined in Maestro. Visible map area is about 46km x 395km so map height is reduced. Full map size must be about 250x395km. Is there are any restrictions about map window size? Using aqua, slate or other templates and applicationdefinitions then map size is correctly in viewer. Yeah, I got it working with other tables where PK is defined, then it works, of cause there is little peformance drop compered to regular view with join, but selection is possible. So when there is no PK field in view then view become as nonselectable when using Mapguide. I have tables without PK defined so I need some workaround how to visualize those tables with Mapguide when I need to use joins between tables. Maybe I can define PK's for those tables, but I dont know is it possible. I tried also use Mapguide join when creating dataconnection using Studio, but result(layer in map) is really slow. Sad that Postgresql havent same PK defining function for views like Oracle have. Mu view wasn't complex, its was just simple join between two tables. Take some data from one table and take some from another where tables having one common field for joining. Primary key is not supported in Postgresql views. As I previously said using view without joined tables and primary key works just well. HI! When I use Postgresql(9.5, postgis 2.2) views as data source for features, where data is collection from two tables(using joins) then I cant select features in the map. When just using Postgres view where no join then features are selectable, but using views where are joined data then there is now way I can select features. I'm gettin error when I try to preview layer, map or weblayout in Maestro(5 and 6 versions). I have tried different feature sources(SDF, SHP, Postgres, Oracle) but nothing. [mapguide-users] Mapguide 3.0 legend and url problem
HI! I'm having 2 problems: 1. Using Mapguide 3.0 fusion web layout legend icons are always default blue ones. 2. Mapuide site URL created by Maestro or Studio working normally only with Firefox browser. Using Chrome or IE it takes a lot of time or fails to load the site. Does anybody else having same problem. Same problem was also with Mapguide 2.6 or previous versions. I'm using Apache webserver. HI! I having Mapguide 2.6 running in windows and I want to upgrade it to 3.0. I also having map application which running in server, so I dont want to uninstall the previous version first and then install new one and then I have to setup application again. Is there an easy way how to upgrade Mapguide without uninstall old version, so I can keep my existing map application keep running without setting it up again. HI! When Google or Bing maps used as basemaps then Status Scale widget not working as needed. Example: I want to set scale to 1 but maps scale gonna be 9028, so its seems its not possible to use custom scale like user wants. I use mapguide 2.5.
