I wouldn't do anything. As the article reads, users have the power to
install nevertheless, so all we need to do is to document that.

Sure, I'm not suggesting that Apple's appstore is great, only that
people are lazy and that we might be forced to at least get our packages
signed by Apple. Unless we want to be known as something underground
and ... unknown. That's the fear.

No fear... It is like Android's option to install unknown apps. That is
allot really means. It part of the trusted platform thing.

[libreoffice-marketing] Marketing Ideas

2012-02-18 Thread Goldfish
Hi,

I am very happy with LibreOffice 3.5.

Please let me know the following:

1. Can we upload LibreOffice to file uploading websites (Rapid Share)
to share with millions?

2. Can TDF place some free ads with Google others?

Thanks,
Paul

I would not do so. We have a very capable download mirror system, and
file hoster sites do not have the best reputation these days... ;-)

2. Can TDF place some free ads with Google others?

Depends if we find a sponsor...

Is their a 'cheat sheet' for 'how to get a corporate sponsor?' Can't
say I've done this before.
