loyalty somewhat suspect — with officers from western regions of Ukraine
where anti-Russian sentiment is strong.

in people’s heads.” Guess some heads will have to be knocked about. Of
course this viewpoint is reactionary as it stands the reality on its head,
while proposing national oppression as the solution: the longer term
problem *will* be economic, and not national, for all of Ukraine. Perhaps
sooner than later.
