We are using only indoor. I am not sure if Trafsys has on outdoor model or not.

Are you using indoor or outdoor counters?

I have been looking for an outdoor networkable counter to track guests walking
a trail.

The few companies I've talked to all seem to make indoor counters, or their
outdoor ones are standalone.

Trafsys is a common-used platform. Make sure to take some time to:
1. Calibrate for accuracy.
2. Learn how to re-calibrate, because they tend to need some re-adjustment over
time.

Re: [MCN-L] People Counters

2015-11-09 Thread Patrick Davis
We have been using the Walker Wireless people counters for a long time. My
team only maintains the hardware (swapping batteries mostly), but we
haven't really heard any negatives from Guest Relations.

We are using the older model still, so I can't vouch for their current
generation of counters.

[MCN-L] P.C Remote access System

2015-11-09 Thread Jones Catherine
Hi All ,
We have a mix of P.Cs and Mac Minis running our on gallery interactives.
We monitor and manage the Mac Minis using the Apple Remote Desktop (ARD)
system and that meets our needs. For the P.Cs we have been using Altiris by
Symantec we have found this to be not a reliable solution, overcomplicated
doesn't meet our needs.
I would be interested to find out what systems other museums have used and
which ones you would recommend and which to avoid.

Best Regards
