Re: [MCN-L] Website - Content Management Systems

2016-10-21 Thread Candace Nast
We're also using WordPress and I know there's an update waiting so not the
latest version. We had a user-contributed project running on self-hosted
Omeka, but that's disabled for the foreseeable future (volunteer running it
got a new job and is too busy). There are a few Omeka exhibits in
development.

I do the posting. There is one person who has permissions to submit drafts,
but I touch up formatting and edit before they are published. When the
WordPress site launched in 2012, there were about five volunteers trained
to contribute drafts, but only one has stayed with it.

best wishes,
Candace

2016-10-20 Thread Russ Brooks
Tamsin, Keir, Stan, Andrew, Akane and Meghan, much appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who has already provided their responses so far. Your
input is very much appreciated.

For those following along here are my answers to the same questions.

1. If any, what CMS (content management system) do you use (Drupal, Wordpress,
other)? We use Drupal for our main site and we also have some “sub-sites” that
are still maintained outside of a CMS using Dreamweaver and/or Bbedit.
2. What version are you running? We are currently using Drupal 6 and are
looking to make a change/upgrade.
3. Who does the posting? Mostly our web team does our posting (90 to 95
percent), but we have trained some users in different departments to maintain
some aspects of the content for which they are responsible.

Russ.
