Looks like --subject-prefix might do what you want: git format-patch --subject-prefix PATCH foobar --numbered ... would prefix the patch subject as: [PATCH foobar x/y] ... Excellent idea. Even in your last message on this topic, I see no Reply-To: and as you can see from my message here (which was a Reply not a Reply-All), you are neither CC'd nor TO:. Only the list address was placed in the recipient headers. Today we had a bit of a run-around[1] because of this due to [PATCH] messages being lost because the ML was eating the CC addresses that are already subscribed to the ML. Shane...
