[MeeGo-dev] MeeGo and BIOS

2010-10-20 Thread Mark S. Townsley
Hi:

I tried to boot up a beta-version of MeeGo 1.1 from repo.meego.com on this
tablet:

  http://www.ctlcorp.com/v4/p-909-2gopad.aspx

It looks like there is some sort of BIOS conflict. I cannot even see the
blue MeeGo splash screen. The USB thumb drive indicator is blinking rapidly
but nothing happen on the screen.
I was told this tablet has a Phoenix BIOS inside.

Is MeeGo only able to work with certain BIOS?
Thanks

Mark

The meego images will also work as a CD ISO. If you have a
USB CD-ROM handy, you might try booting with that and see
what happens.

MeeGo is using ISOLINUX to boot, which is what most Live
CD'S use to boot. So, trying other Live CD's or USB distros
(e.g. Ubuntu) may give insight into the problem.
