[Mesa-dev] [Bug 107965] kmscube: video cube not working: i965_dri.so does not support the 0xffffffff PCI ID and segfaulting

2018-09-17 Thread bugzilla-daemon
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=107965

Bug ID: 107965
Summary: kmscube: video cube not working: i965_dri.so does not
support the 0x PCI ID and segfaulting
   Product: Mesa
   Version: git
  Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
  Severity: normal
  Priority: medium
 Component: Demos
  Assignee: mesa-dev@lists.freedesktop.org
  Reporter: dirkneukirc...@web.de
QA Contact: mesa-dev@lists.freedesktop.org

Created attachment 141607
  --> https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=141607=edit
dmesg output of boot and 2x failing kmscube run at end - some lines with
usb/hdd detection removed to cut down length

I filed this bug at gitlab so probably the wrong location ?

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/kmscube/issues/1

from there:

---

kmscube
kmscube -M rgba

both work

gst-play-1.0 sometestvideo.mkv works

Running

kmscube -V sometestvideo.mkv

is expected to work but fails.

tested today again and in journalctl I get

I just wanted to run some simple "known good" test programs that use KMS (and
OpenGL) before running or testing more advanced stuff but it seems that I
already hit a wall :)
