Re: [meteorite-list] Slander
Your lack of the proper use of the English language affirms what others are saying here. No one here cares about your lawyer, so entertain that. As far as your contesttake it somewhere else, no on here needs your generosity. As for your comments about Mr. Farmer, I would personally like to see you call him a punk to his face. Now that would be TRULY entertaining. The truth is you would never call him anything but Mister Farmer to his face, so do not let your email program, the internet, and distance make you brave. It will not impress anyone. As for Mr. Farmer and this list, he has been here long enough to earn whatever reputation he has with each of us,EXCUSE ME but who are you againI do not remember seeing you here. Oh and the CEO thing isn't very impressive. Most CEO's I know could not find their own ass, even though it is securely wrapped around their head. Thanks for your input here. Perhaps you may want to try the alt.stupid.treasurehunts message board, I hear they like CEO's there. Mark M. On are web page people may leave thier name and email address to be informed of the upcoming treasure hunt and release of the book that goes with this hunt. If you notice we do not ask for money nor have I asked anyone for money. What is really upsetting is to slander to the company and me. I can live with the poor writing jokes but to say that I'm scammming or trying to cheat people out of money is slander and maybe I will entrain the idea of some lawsuits with an lawyer. When I asked about meteorites being appraised high and sold low I had to make sure that a person could take a $100,000 meteorite and get $100,000 or more for it so they do not feel cheated or felt fraud was in play. All I was trying to do was put some money in people's pocket generate business for your indusrty but instead you want to post on a public forum some of the things you have said. Mr Farmer you made a private email public ok its just common knowledge your a punk buts its not common knowledge that I'm a thief lier etc. Also are company does have a bank account and money to match are offers this information would have been given out freely but instead after much reflection and these postings I will just keep my money and give it away to people that deserve it. Cynapse writes: The web site does have regestration information from Ohio. Hola, Our Arthurian treasures colleague is a busy niningeresque Treasure Salvager to recover Mozambique galleons. He was to look for a treasure on the New Mexico border when Mike Farmer successfully recovered Portales Valley and promoted it. Then, he got interested in meteorites bringing a meteorite on the market instead of buying one is more lucrative, in his own words. He went on to found the International Meteorite Society, and was to write a book, Meteorite Hunting and Trapping. Not to mention that he had full rights to the recovery of the 3x4 foot pear shaped main mass of the Plymouth meteorite which he was to sell at buy one gram and get one free, to be located by infrared photography from an airplane. Plus he is a master dog trainer as he was to train a Meteorite Dog to sniff out meteorites in the field. How did you miss all that Darren, loosing you touch, eh? Though its been a while since he posted a message to Unscribe from the list. Sounds like baseball and apple pie to me, give the guy a break! Re: [meteorite-list] Slander
Hi Doug and all, So far his techniques have been unsuccessful on finding the Plymouth main mass but he did get quite a bit of newspaper publicity for it. He was here in a flash and gone in a flash. I personally don't like to get areas where meteorites have been found too worked up as it makes it harder to hunt in those areas after so much unnecessary hype. My understanding is he has hunted in Ohio also where he is probably from, as people in that area have commented to me on him. I have yet to meet Rick face to face. I think he has done some shipwreck treasure hunting and don't know about his success in that field. --AL Mitterling [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: He went on to found the International Meteorite Society, and was to write a book, Meteorite Hunting and Trapping. [meteorite-list] Naked Science/ Nat. Geographic Channel
Dear List; National Geographic Channel's TV show Naked Science in on at the moment and is praising scientists for getting to Tagish Lake with in a few days and collecting very scientific evidence...the meteorites there had 20% wateras they actually show a chainsaw cutting a foot square block of ice from the surface, and inside, is a Tagish Lake meteorite! What a storydifferent from what we experienced here at the time. Re: [meteorite-list] Naked Science/ Nat. Geographic Channel
If only they told the truth, that the Canadian scientists were so busy mapping the sliver of strewnfield and protecting the site, that they recovered like 1 1000th of 1 % of the meteorite. Like 4 kilos out of suspected 1000 kilos or more! They totally bombed on Tagish Lake in my opinion. I also remember how they made a big deal out of donating a 10th of a frigging gram to the UK for scientific studies. Real generous of them after letting so much sink to the bottom of the lake. well steve, I found the Kansas City Star web page via google, but when trying to find the article mentioned below I tried a search on their site for meteorite and then for Steve Arnold - neither of which yielded results. You think you might find it within your realm of kindness to give us the ULR for the article? [meteorite-list] Wolf Creek Crater ON THE BIG SCREEN!
Merry Christmas List. Just wanted all of you to know that I just saw the movie WOLF CREEK at the movie theaters here in Rochester N.Y. tonight. Anyways, in that movie they have some great Arial shots as well as extreme close ups of what appears to be the actual crater!! Pretty awesome when you see this devastating crater on the big screen! Again just wanted to share this with all of you and have a safe and happy New Year to you and all of your families.
