[meteorite-list] NEW Ungrouped C2 Carbonaceous Chondrite - NWA 7821- AD
Dear List Members, A couple weeks ago I announced a new and exciting Ungrouped C2 Carbonaceous Chondrite. In that time much of what was available sold which now leaves just 13 grams in small complete or part slices and a couple complete individuals! Please see here what is still available, and below for my original post on January 9th: http://www.naturesvault.net/meteorites/nwa7821.html I am happy to announce a NEW and 'Official' Ungrouped C2 carbonaceous chondrite, NWA 7821. The Total Known Weight is very small so after providing the type sample, cutting/polishing losses and a couple of pre-sales, there is currently only 18.6 grams available to collector and scientific communities! NWA 7821 is unpaired and unlike any other carbonaceous chondrite I have seen, and that would be a lot!! To see all that is available and information about this ultra rare achondrite, please find here on my Nature's Vault web site: http://www.naturesvault.net/meteorites/nwa7821.html I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed discovering it amongst a box of unclassified rocks!! :) Best Regards, Greg Greg Hupé The Hupé Collection gmh...@centurylink.net www.NaturesVault.net (Online Catalog Reference Site) www.LunarRock.com (Online Planetary Meteorite Site) NaturesVault (Facebook, Pinterest eBay) http://www.facebook.com/NaturesVault http://pinterest.com/NaturesVault IMCA 3163 Click here for my current eBay auctions: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZnaturesvault __ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteorite-list-archives.com Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list

[meteorite-list] Global Shipping Program ?problems?
Hello All, and particularly for all of you sellers on eBay, I have a question. Is there a known (or a perceived) problem with the eBay Global Shipping Program? Should I avoid using it? I've received a request from a potential overseas bidder to revise my auctions and to not use eBay's Global Shipping Program. Here is the exact wording of the request: Would you please consider not using the Global Shipping Program. You may not realise but this Program is a nightmare for Overseas buyers. $ out of 4 auctions I won with this Program the sellers all cancelled auctions and relisted under normal shipping as for some reason it always charges double for shipping and even charges sellers apparently. Is this a legitimate request, or should I be suspicious? Re: [meteorite-list] Global Shipping Program ?problems?
Its an ill-conceived service with no visible benefit for the seller or buyer. Only benefactor would be ebay, which endeavors to grab ever larger profit margin. gary On Jan 19, 2014, at 6:44 PM, Robert Verish bolidecha...@yahoo.com wrote: Hello All, and particularly for all of you sellers on eBay, I have a question. Re: [meteorite-list] Global Shipping Program ?problems?
It came up on one of my auctions (I have no idea how it got there in the first place). It charged my buyer $32 for shipping when I could have mailed it for $8. I promptly cancelled the entire auction and billed him directly through PayPal. Sellers are hurt by this program. The only people that benefit are eBay, PayPal, and the 3rd party shipping companies by charging exorbitant shipping rates. I encourage everyone to never use it. [meteorite-list] (no subject)
Hi Robert, all, I would say that is. Totally legitimate request from your buyer. As a UK based buyer I will not buy from a seller who uses the global shipping program. I got caught out accidentally when they first introduced it as did many people. If it is something I am interested in I will always now contact the seller and make a request to remove the global shipping and if they can't accommodate my request then they lose a sale. Most sellers when asked didn't even realise they were using the program so Ebay must have not made it an obvious option but somehow surreptitiously added it! A total rip off! My 2 cents anyway :-) Cheers Martin -- Martin Goff www.msg-meteorites.co.uk IMCA #3387 __ Visit the Archives at http://www.meteorite-list-archives.com Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
