[meteorite-list] Gobekli Tepe and the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis

2019-11-25 Thread Paul via Meteorite-list

There are an interesting series of blog posts about various
ideas about Gobekli Tepe, its archaeology, and an alleged
association with the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis on
the Lateral Truth blog. They include:

The above blogs are about:

fox say?. Mediterranean Archaeology & Archaeometry, 17(1)., 233-250.

In the same journal, Mediterranean Archaeology and
Archaeometry, another paper about a fringe version of a
Younger Dryas impact senario is published. The paper is:

basin at the Younger–Dryas boundary. Mediterranean

As previously mentioned, Rebbeca Bradley also commented
on Michael Jaye’s unique ideas about an Younger Dryas impact
causing a truly global flood in:

Carl Feagans also published a post on his blog about Micheal
Jaye’s paper on the Global World-wide Flood and the Younger
Dryas Impact. It is:

Re: [meteorite-list] MICROMETEORITES

Dan,
Essential references for hands-on work on this topic are two books by
Jon Larsen, both available from Amazon and other sellers at extremely
reasonable prices. These are: "In Search of Stardust: Amazing
Micrometeorites and Their Terrestrial Imposters", which has stunningly
beautiful microphotography, and "On the Trail of Stardust: The Guide
to Finding Micrometeorites: Tools, Techniques, and Identification".
Best of luck to your friend!

[meteorite-list] Question about illustration of the structures in iron meteorites

2019-11-25 Thread PAOLO CONTE via Meteorite-list
Hello Listers

Does anyone know a book or article that graphically illustrates with
drawings (1) the arrangement of taenite and kamacite in metallic meteorites
and (2) the disposition of the Neumann lines with respect to the crystal
lattice of ataxites or coarsest octahedrites? I never found anything. Only
words that leave little to imagine.

Thanks for your help.

At least a year ago, someone posted an article on retrieving
micrometeorites from rooftops. I have a friend who is attempting to do the
same, and would appreciate having a copy of that article.
Thank you,
