[meteorite-list] Fake meteorite
Dear Meteorite list, First of all I would like to thank the three people who very kindly sent me advice about E-Bay and possible fake emails. I now have another problem, which perhaps someone could give me advice about: I recently bought a Sikhote Aline Meteorite with quote- '' typicl fresh blue-black fusion crust '' However the so-called blue-black fusion crust rubs off with only a finger nail pressure revealing shiny metal underneath !!! Could someone tell me if this is a common and normal accurance ? The seller from Florida issued me with a very nice 'Certificate of Authenticity', and the meteorite was not cheap ! [meteorite-list] e-bay
Dear List, I would like to say how grateful I am for all the interesting emails on this site. I am very much a beginner in collecting minerals, some crystals, local stones and five meteorites, which I love ! This site has given me the opportunity to learn a lot and I am very happy with it. The only small problem is that I got a 'fake' email from E-Bay today, which I deleated as fast as possible !!! With greetings, MM __ Meteorite-list mailing list Meteorite-list@meteoritecentral.com http://six.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/meteorite-list
