Thanks, Cor I also thought it was not worth forwarding and erased it. But not without some thought. In one sense it is a legitimate message to the list on a subject under discussion. On the other hand, as you say, Cor, it adds nothing and can be considered to be an attack on the other participants. As it happens I haven't followed this thread apart from modding the OP, so I don't know how much heat, as opposed to light, is being generated in the thread. //James -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to moderators+h...@documentfoundation.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/moderators/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Hi, sophie wrote on 2011-04-08 09.07: My opinion is that we are moderating subscriptions/spam, not real content, so I'll let it through I think so, too. We should only reject a message when: 1. It is insulting, criminal or by any other way really not for the lists 2. Someone posts without knowing that these are public mailing lists 3. It's spam We should not be judging the content, as long as case #1 does not kick in. :-) Florian -- Florian Effenberger flo...@documentfoundation.org Steering Committee and Founding Member of The Document Foundation Tel: +49 8341 99660880 | Mobile: +49 151 14424108 Skype: floeff | Twitter/Identi.ca: @floeff -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to moderators+h...@documentfoundation.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/moderators/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

But usually I handle it the same way Sophie does - and if required, its possible to reply quickly if its on the list (in the case it may offend someone). If it is a real attack, then this looks differently. Yes, of course, if it's a personal attack against a member it's different :) Kind regards Sophie -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to moderators+h...@documentfoundation.org Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/moderators/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
