I also thought it was not worth forwarding and erased it.

But not without some thought.  In one sense it is a legitimate message to the 
list on a subject under discussion.  On the other hand, as you say, Cor, it 
adds nothing and can be considered to be an attack on the other participants.  
As it happens I haven't followed this thread apart from modding the OP, so I 
don't know how much heat, as opposed to light, is being generated in the thread.

I think so, too. We should only reject a message when:

1. It is insulting, criminal or by any other way really not for the lists
2. Someone posts without knowing that these are public mailing lists
3. It's spam

We should not be judging the content, as long as case #1 does not kick 
in. :-)

Sorry, I haven't followed the user list for a few days, so I don't know
the thread you've mentioned ...

But usually I handle it the same way Sophie does - and if required, its
possible to reply quickly if its on the list (in the case it may offend
someone). If it is a real attack, then this looks differently.
