Re: Scooter Insurance

Assuming your Lammy is an antique Italian model and your scooter is *NOT* a
daily runner BUT is garaged contact http://www.jctaylor.com/. You will
find rates that are on average less than 1/4 what any other company will
charge. But those rates are based on you owning a collectors vehicle garaged
securely...

They let you set your own replacement value. You have to supply a
photo with the application AND the bike has to be 25y or older.
Liability ($100,000 limit): $15 per year
Uninsured motorists (100,000 limit): $10 per year
Medical (2,000 limit): $4 per year
Theft, Vandalism, Fire: 35c per $100 insured value
Full coverage (without deductible): 70c per $100 insured value

For your first 3 vehicles insured, you pay for liability. After three bikes
liability is free, you just pay for just comprehensive.

I've got a few years before my scooters are old enough to be insured by J.C.
Taylor, so I currently use State Farm. Their scooter rates are a little
high, but I have an incredibly sweet deal on my truck.

Enjoy,

Anyone know a good (meaning cheap!) place for scooter insurance either online
or in California? I need to insure my Lambretta for registration, and it
 hasnt been insured in awhile.

Guardo,
There's an advert in SQ for a company in California called California Cycle Insurance Service. They give rates by phone at (800) cal cycle. Their website is calcycle.com. It says they shop around for the best rates, so it's probably a great place to start. Good Luck.
