Re: [MP3 ENCODER] win32

2000-08-22 Thread Gabriel Bouvigne

Why do the win32 versions not show on the fly bitrate analysis for vbr
 files?

They do. Try the one located on mp3-tech.org, and you'll see bitrate
analysis

It should work (win32, but not dos/win3.1) if LAME is compiled with:

-DBRHIST -DNOTERMCAP

Re: [MP3 ENCODER] win32

2000-08-22 Thread Sterling Windmill

I'm running the win32 compiles found on http://www.maindex.com/lame/ in
Windows 2000. After encoding is complete, I get a table showing bitrates and
percentages, but the linux versions I've compiled and ran always show and
update this table while encoding, frame by frame. The win32 version should
do this?

Re: [MP3 ENCODER] Win32 build

2000-08-08 Thread David Bridson

May I take it from these e-mails that most builds of LAME do not
incorporate
MMX enhancements? If that is the case, where can I find a build that
does
include MMX (or even 3D Now!) enhancements?

Cheers,
David

I'll try to build libsndfile and let you know if it works (if you're interrested).

I also want to try the MMX code, but doesn't know where to find "nasm". Any idea ?
Is it free ?

It is free, portable, ...
