then! I figured as good as the other products were, it would be great as
well. Thanks Simmy! I can't wait to try it out. =)

I have to add my two cents worth on thisyes, the Footlogix callus
spray is WONDERFUL! It's like a miracle in a bottle. Also the mousse for
extra dry skin is good stuff as well.
ALSO, I bought a wonderful tool from Jaime Schrabeck (Precision Nails)
which I absolutely couldn't do without...it is a stainless steel
blade/handle, all one piece, which you put stick-on foot files for each
customer. I absolutely love it! Couldn't do without it now. It's so easy to
sanitize. When you finish with it, you peel off the strips and toss them.

Credo Blade dose more damage than good! As a experienced Aesthetician I seen
more harm when used than good! A excellent foot scrub (sea salt, oil and
peppermint oil) combined with paraffin wax and heated booties 2x week! The more
skin you remove the more the skin will grow thicker!

Robin,
Be careful with asking your school. I only warn you because many teachers do
not know all the rules and regulations and could misinform you. Not saying your
teacher would, but I know plenty in PA that have NO clue.
You trusted your instinct and came to this forum.
I had a salon owner tell me she wanted me to use a razor instrument. (Credo) I
told her no and why. This same owner also booth rents in PA, which is against
SB regs.

Three things.
First, all of us in FL know that the information on that phone number is NOT
accurate - it is a central Business and Professional agency bunch that is way
to separated from the Cos Board for them to always be right. (I called for
information once, got an answer, called back and got a different answer! Had to
drive to Tallahassee and can tell you I was NOT happy!) I have no suggestions
for you on that!
Second, I will tell you that if you are sued, a judge can determine that what
you are doing is medical or surgical, regulation or not, and then you are in a
whole world of hurt! Liability is very expensive in more ways than money.
People have been sent to jail for 'practicing without a license.'
Third, if you have them send the information to her, that will put her on the
red flag list and she will be visited, if you know what I mean. I don't think
she would appreciate that. And you may not have a job, then. Just and FYI.

I have to add my two cents worth on thisyes, the Footlogix callus spray
is WONDERFUL! It's like a miracle in a bottle. Also the mousse for extra dry
skin is good stuff as well.
ALSO, I bought a wonderful tool from Jaime Schrabeck (Precision Nails) which
I absolutely couldn't do without...it is a stainless steel blade/handle, all
one piece, which you put stick-on foot files for each customer. I absolutely
love it! Couldn't do without it now. It's so easy to sanitize. When you
finish with it, you peel off the strips and toss them.

NailTech:: Re: credo blade

2009-11-15 Thread Debbie Doerrlamm
There is a clause in almost of not every state's law that says
outside the scope of practice

While FL may not specifically state it can not be used, if you do
someone damage with the tool, you and or the owner could be held
liable, because anything invasive is definitely outside the scope of
practice you are NOT allowed to use anything potentially invasive,
which of course you already know the credo blade can be.. I would
either try looking at myflorida.com (I think thats right) and or call
the state and ask them.. You can also discuss with the owner the fact
there are MANY other non-invasive methods of reducing callus which
having worked in NY you are probably aware of..
