Pipers All Greetings The Manchester Group of Northumbrian Pipers hold monthly meetings in Cheadle Hulme at the Grove Lane Baptist Church hall, Pingate Lane South (off Grove Lane), Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle SK8 7NP and whoever you are, you will be most welcome. Reminder, the last meeting of this year, our Christmas meeting, (carols will be played) will be 12th December. Tom has booked a further four dates for the begining of 2010 and these are 9th January, 6th February, 13th March and 10th April. [NSP] Manchester group of Northumbrian Pipers - Annual Pipers' Day 3rd October 2009
Pipers' day in south Manchester has been a regular event for most of the last 30 years, it's always a good day, so don't forget to book your place. This years tutors are Andrew Davison, Richard and Anita Evans and Adrian Scofield. The day of mainly playing skills workshops will be from 1000 to 1800 hrs at Grove Lane Baptist Church, Pingate Lane South (off Grove Lane), Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle SK8 7NP. Morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea inclusive. The evening meal and concert from 1830 will be at 'The John Millington' in Cheadle Hulme village. Bookings for the evening meal which is not inclusive will be taken and phoned through during the afternoon. The Manchester Group of Northumbrian Pipers invite you to join us for our monthly 'play togethers', we have pipers who combine the afternoon with visits to relatives in the area and pipers who turn up occasionally. It's all very informal,we play in a group everyone gets the chance to pick the next tune and when the good players pick a difficult one people like me stop at the end of bar two, Tom Mullen keeps us in time and people talk about the bits of their pipes that aren't working properly. Plus cup of tea and a biscuit. The only thing guaranteed is that you will be most welcome. Meetings are held at the Cheadle Hulme Baptist Church hall from 1430 to1730 and the next three are 14th October, 4th November, 2nd December 2006.
