[NTG-context] placelist

2011-11-04 Thread Willi Egger
Hi all,

it sound strange but how do I get a TOC where only the sections are placed but
not the subsections?
The document contains exclusively sections and subsections.

With \placecontent[level=section] I get as well the sections as also the
subsections. Looking at examples on the wiki I think this should be the right
command?

Kind regards

[NTG-context] languagespecifics

2011-11-04 Thread Peter Münster
Hello,

Is there something like \startlanguagespecifics[fr] ... \stoplanguagespecifics
in mkiv?

Does it make sense, to keep the module t-french.tex? I would like to
integrate \setcharacterspacing[frenchpunctuation] everywhere (text,
headers, footers and so on), but when a user loads the module and
changes settings for headers or footers afterwards, that setting would
be overwritten.

Thus, if there are no methods, to do such things, I would drop the
module and french specific settings have to be set up on a per document
basis.

What do you think?

but this does nothing as clever as the annotation code as it's just a

[NTG-context] Problems with linespacing

2011-11-04 Thread Jan Heinen

I can't find what I am doing wrong in my tex-file.

1.
I have little problems with the linespacing when I use big
fontsizes.

The text looks uneasy.

Here you can see the problem ... (1) and (2) on the image
http://www.imagebanana.com/view/bipcpje7/Linespacing.png
And why does (3) runs to the right end of the page?

... and here my tex-file:

\definefont[Gross] [name:allerlight at 36pt]
\starttext
\Gross
Ich bin Blindtext. Von Geburt an. Es hat lange gedauert, bis
ich begriffen habe, was es bedeutet, ein blinder Text zu wer
wer wer wer wer wer wer wer wer wer wer keinen Sinn. Man
wirkt hier und da aus dem Zusammenhang gerissen. Oft wird
man gar nicht erst gelesen.

Aber bin ich deshalb ein schlechter Text? Ich weiss, dass
ich nie die Chance haben werde, im Stern zu erscheinen.

\stoptext

2.
And using a very small fontsize, eg. 8pt the linespacing
looks to be the same in every line

but it is to big.

3.
What is to do to have only a small linespacing in a
paragraph and a bigger linespacing after a break and then
again a small linespacing in the next paragraph, and so on.

And I don't want to put \blank after a paragraph.

There was so many nonsense on your definition for your CodeExample environment,

What you defined was the following piece of code:

\crlf
\setupbackground[..,.=.,..]
\startbackground
\startlines[style=type]
\setupalign[right]
\starttyping
…
\stoptyping
\stoplines
\stopbackground
\crlf

1. You used \crlf to add a empty line at the begin and end of the environment,
better is to use \blank or \blank[line].

2. You used the lines environment but it useless here because the typing
environment already takes care that each line in the input is also line of its
own in the output.

3. The style “type” is also useless because typing will overwrite this setting
with its own style which is also “type”.

4. The alignment setup is another setting which is ignored because typing
itself has a align key which is used.

 Dear gang, especially Wolf-gang ;-)

The annotation module seems to cancel indentation, so the paragraph after a
note starts with no indentation. Regular inmargin etc does not have this
 problem:

Fixed.

The display=yes option brings back the indentation, but it creates another
 problem: whitespace.

This is the purpose if the display option, it should either end the paragraph
or add a vertical skip which can be set with space before/spaceafter.

[NTG-context] pdf hyperlinks

2011-11-04 Thread Steffen Wolfrum
Hi,

I wanted to use something like ...

\def\gotoUserpage[#1]{\expanded{\goto{#1}[\userpage(#1)]}}

... to use it as Keyword \gotoUserpage[Pagenumber] in my index. But this try
doesn't work.

Anybody has an idea what is the correct code?

I don’t have time to look at your problem but the stack parameter has to

lol ... ok, can you tell me what's wrong with the following example:

\setupmargindata[inmargin][stack=yes]

\starttext
\dorecurse{2}{This is a test of the stacking mechanism. }\inmargin{This is

\dorecurse{4}{This is a test of the stacking mechanism. }
 \stoptext

cause there's definitely no stacking here using the latest mkiv :-)

There was so many nonsense on your definition for your CodeExample
environment, I don’t know where you found the code but I’m going to explain
what was wrong, this will help you write something better next time.

What you defined was the following piece of code:

 \crlf
 \setupbackground[..,.=.,..]
 \startbackground
 \startlines[style=type]
 \setupalign[right]
 \starttyping
 …
 \stoptyping
 \stoplines
 \stopbackground
 \crlf

 1. You used \crlf to add a empty line at the begin and end of the
environment, better is to use \blank or \blank[line].

 2. You used the lines environment but it useless here because the typing
environment already takes care that each line in the input is also line of
 its own in the output.

 3. The style “type” is also useless because typing will overwrite this
setting with its own style which is also “type”.

 4. The alignment setup is another setting which is ignored because typing
itself has a align key which is used.

 Wolfgang

Thanks for the explanation, Wolfgang.
