The first column of tabulate is too narrow because you use a column which has
only the width
of the longest test in this column, when you use other parameters for both
(e.g. [|p|p|]) the use
enough space to take the width of the main text.

[NTG-context] Changing navigation symbol

2012-04-21 Thread Markus Finke
One footnote is placed on the next side because of lack of space. This
arrangement is displayed by a triangular symbol.

Is it possible to replace this symbol by a more appropriate
(self-defined) character or switch off this feature?

TIA!

No (unless you change the symbols for “nextpage” and “previouspage”)

 or switch off this feature?

Yes (but it’s disabled by default)

Yes (but it’s disabled by default)

\setupstructure   [state=start]

\setupinteraction [ state=start,
   option=bookmark,
   openaction={firstpage,FitHeight},
 menu=on,
click=yes,
contrastcolor=interactioncolor ]

\setupinteractionscreen [option=bookmark]

I’ve changed something but I can’t find the relevant option. Any idea?

When you have a problem you should make a minimal example and tell which
version of context you’re using.

mtx-context | current version: 2012.04.17 22:37

When I run this example I don’t get the symbol unless I enable the indicator:

%\setupnote[footnote][indicator=yes]

\starttext
\dorecurse{4}{\input knuth\doif{\recurselevel}{4}{\footnote{\input
zapf\par}}\par}
\stoptext

 ARGH, I give up!

 ConTeXt finds the Lucida Blackletter OT font on my system (Mac OS X), because:

 mtxrun --script fonts --list --all --pattern=Lucida*

 says (among others)

 lucidablackletterot lucidablackletterot
 /Users/Mari/Library/Fonts/LucidaBlackletterOT.otf
 lucidablackletterotnormal   lucidablackletterot
 /Users/Mari/Library/Fonts/LucidaBlackletterOT.otf
 lucidablackletterotregular  lucidablackletterot
 /Users/Mari/Library/Fonts/LucidaBlackletterOT.otf

 But whatever versions of font synonyms and typescripts and all other
 commands I try, I always get something like
 typescripts  unknown: library 'blackletter

 I'm sure I'm missing something really elementary here, but what?

 This is one of my more recent attempts at calling for the font:

 \starttypescript [rm] [blackletter]
  \definefontsynonym [Serif] [file:LucidaBlackletterOT.otf]
 \stoptypescript

 \definetypeface   [blackletter]   [rm][serif] [blackletter]

 \setupbodyfont[blackletter]

 Any ideas of what I'm doing wrong?

You need \starttypescript[serif][blackletter] but there is a shorter method:

\definetypeface[lucidablackletter][rm][specserif][Lucida Blackletter OT]

\setupbodyfont[lucidaot]

\starttext
Lucida Bright {\lucidablackletter Lucida Blackletter} Lucida Bright
\stoptext

[NTG-context] Caption number conversion in MkIV

2012-04-21 Thread Jean-Philippe Rey
Hello everybody,

I would like to use capital letters instead of roman numerals to number figures
and tables.

In MkII I used

  \setupcaptions[conversion=Characters]

However, it doesn't work in MkIV. Does someone know the equivalent in MkIV ?

Thanks,

Works perfectly well. Thank you very much.

I updated the wiki (http://wiki.contextgarden.net/Command/setupcaptions) to add
the numberconversion paramater.
