Re: [NTG-context] Losing a character during line break at a hyphen

2021-08-21 Thread Richard Mahoney via ntg-context
List,

I can confirm that this is also an issue for me with LMTX-20210819;
"off" is typeset as "of". Is this an problem with ligatures?

Best, Richard

Smaller MWE - it's not hyphenation:

\starttext Diffe \stoptext

gives "Dife".

[NTG-context] Losing a character during line break at a hyphen

2021-08-21 Thread Bruce Horrocks via ntg-context
Not sure whether this is a ligature problem or a hyphenation problem or both!In the following MWE, the line breaks at the hyphen following "Diffe", but oneof the f's is lost so the PDF shows "Dife-".Latest LMTX, version 2021.08.19 19:48\starttextTwenty years after receiving it as a Christmas present, I have finally gotaround to reading The Code Book by Simon Singh. Written in 1999, whenE-commerce was still relatively new, the book provides accessible explanationsof the workings of Diffe-Hellman-Merkle key exchange, and Rivest, Shamir andAdleman (RSA) public-key cryptography.\stoptextOutput PDF attached.—Bruce HorrocksHampshire, UK

 Ah, I didn’t recognize you mean this.

 Since the mail goes through the mailing list software, the sender must not
 be the original sender any more – ntg.nl is not allowed to send emails for
 a different domain. Many securely configured mail servers reject “faked”
 sender addresses, as they should. Look up DANE etc.

Late reply, but for the benefit of anyone looking through the archive, I traced
the cause of my problem to an entry in Contacts that had ntg-context@ntg.nl as
the email address and no other details. Apple Mail decides to use this instead
of the From: header when displaying the mailing list emails.

Re: [NTG-context] pgfplots module needs update from December

Can you please try updating and checking again (at least with the
"legacy installer", I'm not sure how Hans handles the modules for
lmtx)?
I don't because then I need to have them on my system and I'm too lazy
to update ... of course I do sync with the garden when I do a normal
update so I guess that normally I have an okay tikz (as I don't use it,
apart from a few tests in the suite, I depend on users to report issues.)

(Users can just symlink an lmtx module tree to the 'legacy' mkiv modules
tree.)

[NTG-context] different preffixsegments for different reference formats

2021-08-21 Thread Pablo Rodriguez via ntg-context
Dear list,

I have the following sample:

  \starttext
  \definereferenceformat[itsc][in]
  \setupreferencestructureprefix[itsc][default]
[prefixsegments=section]
  \chapter{Chapter}
  \section[b]{Section}
  \itsc[b] and \in[b]
  \stoptext

How can I get that \itsc gets "prefixsegments=section" without affecting
to \in?

Many thanks for your help,

Pablo

[NTG-context] Handling of negative values in the statistical-charts?

2021-08-21 Thread Ramkumar KB via ntg-context
Dear List,

I have been exploring the use of the awesome statistical-charts
 module. So first of all, a
big thanks to the authors of the same.

I seem to have hit a snag when it comes to handling of -ve values. In my
example (attached tex & pdf), the y-axis labels and the grids do not seem
to be working on the -ve side (also, able to flip labels above x-axis for
-ve values). This seems to be the case of column charts and bar charts (and
I will test this for the other types of charts also).

If this is a more generic issue across all the types, then I can contribute
towards enhancing it (as any charts module should handle -ve values). Any
tips or pointers would be really helpful.

Thank you very much.

best regards,
