[NTG-context] loading figure in LuaTeX

2009-05-21 Thread Dalyoung Jeong

Dear all,

I tried to load figure in LuaTeX, but I couldn't succeed.
However, it is perfectly working in ConTeXt and XeConTeXt.
I don't know what is wrong.

best regads,

Dalyoung

My system is Mac 10.5.6, ConTeXt Minimal, LuaTeX ver 0.40.1.
Here is a short test file.

[NTG-context] about LuaTools | error unable to identify cnf file

2008-12-15 Thread Dalyoung Jeong

Dear Mojca,

texmfstart texexec --make (--xtx) --all run smoothly, but luatools
still has a cnf error.

Did you update the scripts in binaries as well? (Unless you updated
ConTeXt from TL repository, it will keep the old mtxrun in binaries,
and that one doesn't work at all.)

Mojca

I upgraded MacTeX using tlmgr updarw --all first. And then,
texhash
texmfstart texexec --make --all
texmfstart texexec --make --xtx --all

It's working good.

But, I try luatools --generate, then error messages are appreared.

luatools --generate

LuaTools | error unable to identify cnf file
LuaTools | error unable to identify cnf file
LuaTools | no cnf files found (TEXMFCNF may not be set/known)
LuaTools |
LuaTools | runtime: 0.002 seconds

Should I run .luatex(containing export $texmf= ... , etc) as before
to set environment?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Dalyoung

Re: [NTG-context] about LuaTools | error unable to identify cnf file

2008-12-15 Thread Dalyoung Jeong

Dear Diego,

Yes, in ConTeXt Minimals, LuaTeX is working well.

Now, I am testing LuaTeX in TL2008.
I hope that LuaTeX works in both environments. Too greedy?

However, I couldn't solve cnf problem yet. I may leave it for a while.

Thank you.

Re: [NTG-context] questions on ctxtools and line break.

2008-12-07 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear Mojca, Yue, and Hans,

Thank you for the help.
I updated ConTeXt and LuaTeX using rsync to the foler .../texlive/
2008/../texmf-local.

texmfstart texexec --make (--xtx) --all run smoothly, but luatools
still has a cnf error.

I'll do it again from the beginning when I have time.
However, it works fine in ConTeXt-minimal.

One day Mr. Wolfgang tried to do some work to set up standardization
of CJK for MKIV. However, it is not easy because Korean use space
between words.

The rules of line break for Korean is simple in saying. We don't need
any hyphenation inside word, so if it is longer than the \textwidth,
just make a line break at that position. There may be a little
adjustment to make it right flush.

For the details of the line breaking system for Korean, I'll talked to
the people in KTUG.
Some experts in KTUG will answer how to do that.
For ConTeXt, there is a font-kor.tex(by nomos) file which enable to
use Korean in ConTeXt. So they know what and how to do. I hope that we
find a good solution which is also good for the implementation in MKIV.

Thank you again.

Best regards,

Dalyoung

[NTG-context] questions on ctxtools and line break.

2008-12-06 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

Here are two questions.

1. about ctxtools

Recently, I updated TeXLive 2008 using tlmgr. After that I try to
update ConTeXt using ctxtools --update.
It downloaded cont-tmp.zip and extracting it. After mktexlsr, there
was the first error but it proceeded without stop.

.
mktexlsr: Updating /usr/local/texlive/2008/texmf-var/ls-R...
mktexlsr: Done.

Is it OK to use ctxtools for updating? What is the best way to update
ConTeXt in TL2008?

2. about line break for sentences in Korean.

When I compile Korean text using XeTeX + ConTeXt or LuaTeX, there are
many overfull errors because of the linebreaking. But by adding the
command \XeTeXlinebreaklocale[ko] the overfull errors were cleared
in XeTeX+ ConTeXt. Is there a similar command in LuaTeX to handle the
overfull errors? If not, is it possible to add such a command?

Thank you for reading.

[NTG-context] off-topic : about smultron

2008-10-06 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

I hope that you understand a little bit off topic question.

Recently, I installed smultron and set it up to use ConTeXt Minimals
following the instruction in ConTeXt wiki.
Basically it worked.
But the command result window didn't properly show what is going on
during the compilation.
But it appeared some time but it didn't some other time. I couldn't
figure out when it did and when it didn't.
Even in the case that it showed the result, it didn't refresh after I
compiled the same file again.

Does some one help me to fix it?

Thank you.

Dalyoung

[NTG-context] several warnings after updating ConTeXt and LM fonts

2008-06-03 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

Recently, I updated ConTeXt using ctxtools. I also install latest LM
otf fonts and some map file for dvipdfm.

After teshashing and creating formats, I tried a simple file. It
worked well in ConTeXt, but in XeTeX+ ConTeXt, I got several warnings
related with map files as following.
However, I got a PDF output.

How do I remove those warnings? I am using TeXlive(MacTeX).

Thank you

Best regards,

Dalyoung

Re: [NTG-context] a question about ConTeXt + AUCTeX

Thank you for all the replies.

I open Aquamacs emacs from the terminal in which source .luatex
was executed.
Then it worked fine.

For other methods, I'll try later.

By the way, is it normal to run luatools --generate and luatools --
ini --verbose --compile ... whenever I start computer? Or, I missed
something in my setup.

Thank you again.

Dear Thomas,

Thank you for your reply.

XeTeX+ ConTeXt is working after adding a command as you said.

But Lua + ConTeXt is not working.

Maybe the system setup of yours is different from mine.
Usually I run source .luatex first before running luatex.
So my guess is that emacs couldn't know the luatex path even though it
is known in another program terminal.

Am I correct? If so, how to apply environment .luatex to global
condition? Otherwise, what are wrong in my setup?

Thank you.

Re: [NTG-context] question on the luaTeX installation

2008-04-28 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear Thomas and Aditya,

Thank you for the reply.

TEXMFLOCAL, TEXMFDIST is the order in texmf.cnf. So the order
in .luatex is OK.

1. I changed '/usr/local/texlive/2007/../texmf-local' in the .luatex
file to '/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local'
%%%
echo $TEXMF
{/Users/dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-config,/Users/
dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-var,/Users/dalyoung/Library/texmf,/usr/
local/texlive/2007/texmf-config,/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-var,/usr/
local/texlive/2007/texmf,/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local,/usr/local/
texlive/2007/texmf-dist}
%%

2. 'luatools --generate'.
3. Then it locate the files in right positions.

$ luatools cont-new.tex
/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/context/base/cont-new.tex

And I succeeded to create the format file and a very simple test file
worked very well.
I don't know what is the difference between '/texlive/2007/../texmf-
local/' and '/texlive/texmf-local/'.

Thank you for your concern again.

Best regards,

Dalyoung Jeong

[NTG-context] question on the luaTeX installation

2008-04-26 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

With a fresh mind, I tried to install luaTeX in my Mac G5(OSX 10.5) as
follows:
(based on Thomas's instruction)
- updating the ConTeXt
- making formats
- preparing some files like texlua, texluac, luatools, mtxrun.
- made a environment variable in .luatex

export TEXMFCACHE=/tmp
export TEXMFCNF=/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf/web2c
export TEXMF={/Users/dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-config,/Users/
dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-var,/Users/dalyoung/Library/texmf,/usr/
local/texlive/2007/texmf-config,/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-var,/usr/
local/texlive/2007/texmf,/usr/local/texlive/2007/../texmf-local,/usr/
local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist }
export LUAINPUTS={/usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/tex/context/base,/
usr/local/texlive/texmf-local/sc ripts/context/lua,/Users/dalyoung/
texmf/scripts}

- run source .luatex
- run luatools --generate
it showed a long list without any error message.

So far, it looks fine. After the generation, I check the file cont-
new.tex, then it pointed the file
in the folder texmf-dist not in the folder texmf-local.
I updated the ConTeXt file in the folder texmf-local, but I don't know
why it is looking for files under texmf-dist folder not under texmf-
local.

$ luatools cont-new.tex
/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist/tex/context/base/cont-new.tex

I tried to create a format.
But luatools --ini --verbose --compile cont-en stops with an error
message.

[NTG-context] a question about s-pre-61.tex

Dear all,

I tried to compile s-pre-61.tex to see the interaction.

At the first time, I got the font error. It had a problem to use

It runs without the error, but it didn't make pdf output. I checked

I am sorry that there is a mistake in the previous mail that I sent.

My question was how to make the head title setup of contents and of

Now, I find that the prefix{(a character) (chapter no) (a

I may do a wrong test for this.
Without the prefix=no, \comletecontent has no prefix. But
\completeindex has chapter no and it is not suppressed even the

I am sorry to list wrong result.

Re: [NTG-context] how to change 'figure 1.1' to '?? 1.1'

2007-12-07 Thread Dalyoung Jeong

Dear Mojca and Wolfgang,

Thank you for the comments on lang-kor.tex.

I didn't test, but I would say: forget the dirty hacks and simply
write

\setuplabeltext [\s!ko] [\v!figure=??]
It might not work in pdfTeX, but for XeTeX and LuaTeX it should do
the job. Once you do those changes, feel free to ask again if you
have problems (and don't forget to ask Hans to include the
translations).

I modify the files following your advice.
It removes the middle variable \koencoding and make the file
simpler. And I don't need to use \koencoding{\enableencoding[cjk-
uni]}. It worked fine, also. But I'd like to use \setuphead for
chapter, section, etc because our writing style of head is different
from that of english.

I uploaded it in KTUG board to be checked by them, since it may be
need more corrections.

Thank you again.

By the way, do you completely resolve the lmtypewriter10-regular
problem? which was discussed before in the list?

Yesterday, after I reinstalled TeXlive and updated ConTeXt, I got
kpathsea: Running mktextfm lmtypewriter10-regular message. As a
temporary method, I renamed mktextfm.
I confirmed that such font file is in texlive opentype font folder
and lm*.map files in map/dvipdfm folder.

Is there anything that I have to do more? I couldn't see the solution
in the list.

Thank you for reading.

Best regards,

Dalyoung

Re: [NTG-context] Typesetting Korean

2007-11-27 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear Saji,

You contact the right person, Dohyun Kim. He is one of the expert in
KTUG and who write kor-00 module for ConTeXt.
Another way for Korean is to use XeTeX+ ConTeXt, then you can use
some korean fonts in the system.
I think that using the module kor-00 is easier.

If there are someone who want to use korean go www.ktug.or.kr and
download the font files and module. Just untar the files in the texmf-
local directory. It is easy to use.

Thank you.

Best wishes,

Re: [NTG-context] typesetting a formula as a figure

2007-11-25 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear Idris, Aditya, and Wolfgang,

Thank you for the replies.

Removing \start-stop formula and using \vcenter worked well.
However, adding $\displaystyle ...$ gave the strange output. The
location of the captions are not under the matrix. It looks like that
there are four columns, matrix cap matrix cap.

I have one more question.

Is it possible to display three figures in a triangular shape as
following?

  figure 1

 figure 2 figure 3

I tried to use \srartcombination[3*2] ... using a dummy blank figure.
But because of the figure 1, there is a wide blank spaces between two
figures.

Thank you so much.

2007-11-05 Thread Dalyoung Jeong

Dear Mojca,

Thank you for the reply. As you did, I send my problem to the list. I
think that I am a problem maker.

I wonder why the output of XeTeX+ConTeXt was changed after the upgrade
to Leopard.

I didn't change anything in TeX system. I just upgraded the OSX.
But nicely working XeTeX+ConTeXt had a problem with the korean
commercial fonts.(no korean letters were appeared.)

I installed TeXlive using i-installer(gwTeX) with Mac OSX Leopard,
Latest stable ConTeXt, XeTeX 0.996

I made a short test file and a typescript file for the test.
I have tested in several ways.

1. In XeTeX, everything is OK. Korean letters and greek capitals are
appeared well. I thinkt that it used xdv2pdf.

3.In XeTeX+ConTeXt without the definition of the korean commercial font:

No error messeges, defined korean font and greek capitals are appeared
well.
But korean letters(except the manually defined korean font) are
appeared as blanks. English letters are OK.

4. I used typescript file type-xkor2.tex

No error message. English letters are OK.
But korean letters(except the manually defined korean font) and the
greek capitals are appeared as blanks.

I think that Leopard has a problem with xdvipdfmx. It is just my guess.

I attached test file and a typescript file. I used some commercial
fonts but they are freely distributed as demo at the following site: www.softmagaic.co.kr
After connecting it, you can see otf sm font in the third
rectangle at the right side of the frame. You can download 5 fonts. I
used three of them in the typescript file and one of them in the test
file.

Thank you again.
Best regards,

Dalyoung

[NTG-context] two questions

2007-11-05 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Hi all,

Recently, I had a problem using XeTeX+ConTeXt after the upgrade to
Leopard. You may read my mails to the list already.
Let me describe it in short. XeTeX and XeLaTeX worked well. But in the
output via XeTeX+ConTeXt, all korean letters are shown as blank or as
the series of squares([s6] mode)when I set mainfont using some of the
commercial fonts. All the files were worked OK before the upgrade.

I'd like to you two things.

1. Is it possible to use xdv2pdf to produce pdf file using the command
texmfstart texexec?

2. How to update xetex and xdvipdfmx? I downloaded latest file of them
from minimal.context.wiki. I replaced the xetex and xdvipdfmx in the
folder /usr/texbin/ with the latest files, but it made another lm font
error.

I am using Mac with OSX Leopard, TeXlive 2007(gwTeX).

Since I have very little knowledge about TeX, I always ask you for help.
Thank you for the listening.

Best regards,
Dalyoung

Re: [NTG-context] LuaTeX on Mac OS X

2007-10-04 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear Thomas, Mojca, and Otared,

Thank you for the instructions. I think that I followed the
instructions of installation without problems. But I have a problem
running luatools.

A few week ago, I succeeded running luatools --generate, but not
luatools --ini --... after making .luatex containg variables like
TEXMF, TEXMFCNF, etc.

I removed gwTeX and reinstalled MacTeX, I did the same steps of
installation and I got the errors. At this time, even luatools --
generate didn't run correctly. It is ooking for the wrong folder.

I tried setuptex(copy setuptex to the binary, and chmod 755 to
run), but it asked me to provide a proper tex directory like /
something/tex

It seems to me that luatools are not able to get the texlive home
dirextory.
I may try once more using another mac because sometime it behaved
differently.

Thank you for your concern.

Best regards,

Dalyoung

Since there is no echo at all on this matter for a few days, I think
that I am the only person who has the installation problem.

I tired in many ways. I repeated the installation process three
times from the scratch.
But I have no progress at all.

I made .luatex(it is described by Thomas in ntg-context digest vol
39, issue 30), and got the following result. there is a little
difference. luatools tried to load texmf.cnf but face to an error soon.

Dear Hans,

Thank you for the reply.

Here is the codes of luatools.lua from line number 1106 -

if not md5.dec then function md5.dec(str) return convert(stt,%
03i) end end

end end

%

Since most people didn't have the problem in installation. it
reminded me a problem when I installed the XeTeX a long time ago.
After installed files of XeTeX, I tried to make a format, but I
couldn't succeed. I reported the error message to XeTeX mailing list,
but every one had no problem to install and to make a format. They
said that it was good in their system.
Finally Jonathan found that it was related with my OSX(OSX korean
version) even though I put english at the top priority in the
preference panel.
He installed korean in his system to locate the problem and removed
the problems.

Is this problem related with my OSX?

I hope that the line 1108 gives you a clue of my problem.

Thank you.

[NTG-context] still have a problem in using luatools

2007-09-27 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Hi,

Again I'd like to ask you some help.

Since I have no idea what is wrong in my TeX(gwTeX), I tried from the
beginning.
I removed installed gwTeX, and reinstalled MacTeX-2007 package.
I checked the followings:

$ kpsewhich texmf.cnf
/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf

$ kpsewhich  --expand-var='$TEXMFCNF'
{/usr/local/texlive/2007/bin/powerpc-darwin,/usr/local/texlive/2007/
bin,/usr/local/texlive/2007}{,{/share,}/texmf{-local,}/web2c}:/.

$ kpsewhich  --expand-var='$TEXMF'
{/Users/dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-config,/Users/
dalyoung/.texlive2007/texmf-var,/Users/dalyoung/Library/texmf,!!/usr/
local/texlive/2007/texmf-config,!!/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-
var,!!/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf,!!/usr/local/texlive/2007/../
texmf-local,!!/usr/local/texlive/2007/texmf-dist}

I also copied luatex and mtxrun in the folder /usr/texbin.

texexec --make --all {--pdftex, --xetex} worked fine and make formats
properly.

After that I run luatools --generate, then it is not working
properly. The messages are

$ luatools --generate

LuaTools | skipping /usr/texbin/texmf-local/web2c/texmf.cnf
LuaTools | skipping /usr/texbin/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf
LuaTools |
LuaTools | runtime: 0.03 seconds

I don't know why it is looking for texmf.cnf under the binary folder(/
usr/texbin).

Would you please tell me what is wrong in my installation?

Thank you for your help.

Best regards,

Dalyoung

2007-09-16 Thread Dalyoung Jeong

Dear Thomas,

I found the folder /usr/local/Build/powerpc/TeXLive.2006. I
remembered that I have tried to install TeX using the source before.

When I open terminal, .luatex in not implemented yet and texexec --
make --all --pdftex run without any errors.

As you see in the above output, it uses the searching method 'kpsewhich'
and '/usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.pkgs/web2c/natural.tcx'
But after running 'source ~/.luatex', it used the same searaching
path but different path for format and engine paths as following even
though I removed /usr/local/Build folder.

However, to run 'luatools --generate', I need to run .luatex.
Still, I have a problem in 'luatools --ini --compile...'.

So I think that .luatex change the setting for the ConTeXt.
I attached .luatex file which shows the TDS in my mac.
By the way, what is 'whence'? It is a unknown cmd in my machine.

Re: [NTG-context] need help for the installation of luatools

2007-09-15 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Thank you, Thomas, Arthur, and Taco,

I checked texmf.cnf. There are two texmf.cnf

gwTeX/texmf.cnf --- there is no code for the memory setup, it
just describe the TDS structure.
gwTeX/texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf --- trie_size = 40
gwTeX/texmf.local/web2c/ no texmf.cnf

Gerben made other cnf file(he said that it is for the context).

gwTeX/texmf.pkgs/web2c/{context.cnf, natural.ctx} ---
trie_size.context = 50

The result of kpsewhich texmf.cnf is /usr/local/gwTeX/texmf.cnf.
And kpsewhich --expand-var = '$TEXMF' shows the directory system of
gwTeX.

At this moment, I don't know what I can do. I'll test it more after
changing the memory setup.

Thank you again.

Dear Thomas,

How careless I am! and sorry not to give you a sufficient information.
As you said, lua!=luatex.

I downloaded and installed luatex in the folder /usr/texbin.
I also copied it as texlua.

Now, It seems to me that luatools is working without the previous
error.
However, there is a problem of doing luatools --generate yet
because I used TeXlive based on the gwTeX distribution.

In my gwTeX, texmf.cnf is located in geTeX folder which also included
the folders {texmf, texmf.gwtex. texmf.local, texmf.pkgs,

Also, context is installed in the folder texmf.pkgs/tex/context

I think that it cause the problem.
Is it a real cause of the above problem?

Thank you.

[NTG-context] need help for the installation of luatools

2007-09-11 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Hi, all,

I have downloaded binary files(lua5_1_2_Darwin89_bin_tar). After
unzip, there are 3 files bin2c5.1, lua5.1, luac5.1.
I copied lua5.1 as luatex and texlua in the folder /usr/texbin.
I also copied luatools.lua as luatools in the folder /usr/texbin.

I updated the ConTeXt and try to install LuaTeX.

But, I got an error as following when I issue luatools.

apple: dalyoung$ luatools

nil value)

I am using TeXlive installed with i-installer.

Please give me some hints to avoid the errors.

Thank you.

[NTG-context] math font definitions in XeConTeXt

2007-05-30 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

For korean sentences, I am using XeConTeXt with korean otf font as
the bodyfont. In that case, greek capital letters in math mode are
not displayed wit the warning message
** WARNING ** Glyph for CID 18168 missing in font YoonMyungjoM/H.
YoonMyungjoM is the name of the korean font.
If I set english font as the bodyfont, they are displayed well.

I think that korean font override the greek capital letters.
Hence, I'd like to know the followings:

(1) Is there a math font which can be used in XeConTeXt?
(2) Is there a way to not to override greek capital letters in math
mode?

Thank you.

Re: [NTG-context] lm update+ gyre and ctxtools doesn't work

2007-03-07 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear Taco,

I have installed following map files in the folder /usr/local/gwTeX/
texmf.texlive/fonts/map/pdftex/context/

The map files are
{cs-lm.map, ec-lm.map, el-lm.map, ..., texansi-lm.map, ts1-lm.map}
which is included in the new version.

I put those files only in the folder.

Does it cause the problem?

Thank you.

[NTG-context] \hairline in the header and column rule

2006-12-20 Thread Dalyoung Jeong

Dear all,

I'd like to ask about drawing a line in the header and a line between
columns.

1)I'd like to add hairlines in the header using before and after in

leftmargin with the textwidth only. So, there is no line at the right
end of the header. How to make the lines start from the left end of
the text area?

2) I setup [rule=on] in column setup, but the length of the line
depends on the length of the text. How to draw the separation line
from the top to bottom?

Thank you for reading.

[NTG-context] ConTeXt installation problem using i-installer(v 2.85)

2006-10-31 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

Yesterday, I updated ConTeXt using i-installer(V 2.84).
It worked fine with XeTeX too. I am able to make presentation using
ConTeXt + XeTeX which was not possible before.
Today I tried to update ConTeXt in Mac located in school. At this
time, I used the upgraded i-installer(V 2.85). But it didn't ask me
the permission(no Authenticate window). So it couldn't have a write
permission in the directory /usr/local/teTeX/. I got the warning/
error message, /usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local is not writablle.
I cannot change a nonwritable TeX. Bailing out Hence I couldn't
install ConTeXt.

What do I have to do to complete the installation?

[NTG-context] resolved Font problem

2006-09-07 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

By installing TeX from the beginning and changing to new font family,
CFF: Invalid caracter error was disappeared.
I think that there are some problems in some korean fonts

But the same file had a little problem in Powerbook G4(OS X 10.4.7).
I think that it is not the problem in XeTeX, ConTeXt, but in the
configuration in Terminal or in the system.
Although I have little knowledge about Unix, I'll try to fix it.

Thank you again for all the help.

[NTG-context] help for the font problem

2006-08-30 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Hi, all

I have no problem to get an pdf output using XeTeX and XeLaTeX but, I
got some errors using XeTeX+ XonTeXt.

After many tests, I think that the error is related with the font
(including Korean) which I installed privately.
If I use the fonts installed by system, then everything is OK.

The followings are the errors and error message I got.

1) There is a white space instead of figures.
No error messages but no figures. However, if I changed the
font, I
got the pdf output directly containing figures.

2) font error message:

xetext.xdv - xetext.pdf

** NOTICE: This document contains a `Preview Print only' licensed
font **
]
** ERROR ** CFF: Invalid character.

Output file removed.
TeXExec | runtime: 5.386493
~

However, I could get an pdf texts using xdv2pdf but still no
figures. If I changed the font, then I got the pdf output without
xdv2pdf.

Hence, all the errors are originated from the font. I wonder whether
it is the problem in my system only or not.

Would someone try the following file using the given font(free to
use)?
And if you also get the same errors, then is there a

You can download fonts freely from the following address:

In the middle of that page, you can see Open type Fonts for Mac OS

contains 5 fonts, and try one of them.

Thank you for help.

[NTG-context] gnuplot in ConTeXt

2006-07-26 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

I have installed gnuplot and others(aqua term, x11).
I tested the minimal sample file in ConTeXt Wiki.
In the wiki page, there is a command like

\startGNUPLOTgraphics{sin}
plot sin(x)
\stopGNUPLOTgraphics

but there is an error message like

l.6 \startGNUPLOTgraphics
  {sin}
? x

If I changed \startGNUPLOTgraphics{sin} to \startGNUPLOTgraphic{sin},
then the error is disappeared but the output showed only texts but
not graph. Only a grey box is appeared.

Would you please show me an example in detail?

Re: [NTG-context] some patches

2006-05-15 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear Hans,

Thank you for your answer.

Since it worked perfectly before, I created XeTeX-ConTeXt format using
texexec --make --xtx en
for a test and run texexec --xtx file.tex.

It run OK and I got a pdf output. I think that it is not only the
font problem unless texmfstart uses fonts differently. So my wonder
is what cause the difference between
texmfstart texexec --xetex file.tex and texexec --xtx file.tex.(no
output with errors and good output).
I am sorry to list this which is the problem for me only.

Since my TeX-knowledge is very short, I couldn't do anyting but
testing. I'll upgrade to the latest version soon and see how it runs,
although I am afraid of upgrading the current ConTeXt(05-11) to the
latest one.

Thank you again.

[NTG-context] about the default bullets of itemized lists

2006-04-07 Thread Dalyoung Jeong
Dear all,

It is not a big problem, but I don't know why this curious thing
happened.

A few days ago, I updated ConTeXt and made a format file for XeConTeXt.
I run a file which was compiled well before and got a strange
results: at this time.
all the bullets of the itemized lists are gone(no bullets).

After I changed the first \startitemize to \startitemize[1] only,
then all the itemized lists in the whole text had a bullet again. If
I changed [1] to [2] and [3], it disappeared again(including bullets
for \head).
Is this normal? or are there something wrong in my setup or in my
document?

Thank you for reading.

following method:
