Re: [NTG-context] Change hyphenation mark
Thank you! It makes a big difference. I distinctly remember reading somewhere that the hyphen character can't be replaced... But it was last year so I couldn't tell you where. I have an environment that provides the first ten Hebrew numerals, which I am using for the front matter: \def\hebrewnumber#1% {\ifcase#1 \or א \or ב \or ג \or ד \or ה \or ו \or ז \or ח \or ט \or י \else -\fi} \defineconversion[hebrewnumerals][\hebrewnumber] I assume that the right way to do it, that would allow for more numbers, is in Lua, the way that Roman numerals are done. Unfortunately I couldn't quite figure out how to do it. Right now I don't have more than ten pages of front matter, but if you are willing to help with implementation, I can explain how Hebrew numerals work. I'm trying to create a two-sided document in an RTL language. I'd like to reverse the margins and the page flow, so that the first page has the binding on the right side, rather than on the left, and the documents display correctly in pdf readers. I posted this question on TeX Stack exchange, and was informed by Wolfgang Schuster that it is currently impossible to do. He suggested that I use \setcounter[realpage][2] to simulate a document that starts with a left page, but warned that this might cause unwanted side effects. If OpenType fonts are not in distribution, you have two options: a) Install them on your system and make sure that OSFONTDIR variable is properly set (you need to set it manually, either in texmfcnf.lua under texmf-local or in top folder; or you need an environmental variable) I just have export OSFONTDIR=/usr/local/share/fonts;/usr/share/fonts;$HOME/.fonts in my .bashrc and absolutely no problems.
