While reading the documentation I spotted something similar from which I
derived this solution:

\def\squeeze#1%

\goto{#1} [url(tel:\ctxlua{context(string.gsub("#1", " ", ""))})]
}
\starttext
Call \squeeze{01234 56789}
\stoptext
