[nysbirds-l] Brown Booby Update
The Brown Booby is still present now st 4PM at Lake Montauk. It can be seen from Star Island Road, sitting on a green Channel Marker, #11. On Star Island Rd, proceed to the Snug Harbor Marina building and find a parking spot in the lot just past it. Cross to the other side of the road and look out over the lake. If you walk too far past the “Mickey’s” white dumpster in the lot, the channel marker won’t be visible behind the point of land on the left and you won’t be able to see the bird. The bird is distant and hard to see in this location even with binoculars.
