[nysbirds-l] Croton Pt. birds
Spent about four hours at Croton Pt. Park today. The two Red-headed Woodpeckers are still in the upper picnic area where the airplane field is. They gave lots of great photo ops. Just so cool watching them. Also had a Field Sparrow and two American Tree Sparrows up there to with the juncos. That place is always so good for woodpeckers. Had four species today and have seen all the species you can get at the park there. Went to look for the Upland Sandpiper at Croton Pt. today with no luck. Stayed on the dump for 2+ hours and only had some Bobolinks, a Harrier, an eagle, and an osprey. There were lots of butterflies though. The Western Kingbird was still in the same spot on the tree line across from the beginning of the dump coming from the ballfield. Andrew Andrew v. F.
