[nysbirds-l] Gyrfalcon - Maybe not so
After some further review of the reported "Gyrfalcon" at the Shawangunk Grasslands from Feb. 16th, maybe the bird is not a Gyrfalcon after all. The photos were not all that clear and suggest immature Red-shouldered Hawk as well. Without further sightings or better evidence, prospective "chasers" might stand down for now.
