[nysbirds-l] Northern Shrike at West End (Nassau Co.)
The previously reported Northern Shrike was seen east of the Teddy Roosevelt Nature Center at about 12:00PM today. The bird was close to the roadway where you exit West End and head east toward the Ocean Parkway. Otherwise it was fairly quiet. On a related bird note, this morning Sue Feustel had an Orange-crowned Warbler on the bike path between Fields 6 & 7 feeding in the goldenrod bordering the path. i have posted on my flickr site a distant photo of the Sea Cliff Guillemot.
