[nysbirds-l] White Ibis Continues

2011-09-03 Thread Michael McBrien
As of 2:00, the White Ibis continues on the far end of the plowed
field on Bridge Lane. Patience is required to locate the bird as
there is much heat distortion. Early this morning, it was well
concealed in the gully at the far end of the field; it was quite a
while before it came out into the open.

Good Birding,
Michael McBrien

[nysbirds-l] White Ibis continues at Bashakill

2011-07-29 Thread vanhaas
Scott Baldinger just called to report that he was at Haven Road at 6:15 this
morning looking for the White Ibis. At 6:35 as he watched westward, the bird
flew in directly overhead from the east. It flew over him and directly on down
the Bashakill, eventually going down in approximately the same location in the
marsh where Arlene Borko and I saw it go yesterday. Good luck if you go. John
Haas
