  Platform: openSUSE
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash

-- Information about the crash:
Okular crashes when closing a particular file, which contains forms and a
digital signature. This seems to be new in Okular 22.12.2. The file contains
mildly sensitive data, so I'd rather not attach it publicly, but I can send it
to Okular developers if it's needed.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[okular] [Bug 466614] New: Inconveniently slow scroll speed

2023-02-28 Thread David
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=466614

Bug ID: 466614
   Summary: Inconveniently slow scroll speed
Classification: Applications
   Product: okular
   Version: 22.12.2
  Platform: Microsoft Windows
OS: Microsoft Windows
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: okular-devel@kde.org
  Reporter: nergad...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
Touchpad two finger scroll is way too slow to the point of inconvenience. When
reading something I'd rather use hand tool and awkwardly two tap and slide
document up than to swipe two fingers - the usual scrolling gesture everywhere
else.

I'd love Okular to have customizable scroll delta when using touchpad (Mouse
wheel scroll works well!).
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
:( pretty straightforward, I think
1.  Install windows 11;
2.  Install Okular;
3. Use two finger swipe gesture on your touchpad.

OBSERVED RESULT
Slow and inconsistent scrolling speed/delta for both: vertical and horizontal
scrolling.

EXPECTED RESULT
To somewhat match scrolling speed of other Windows apps.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Okular: 22.12.2
Windows: 11 22H2 and 23H1

feature request for (adding an option in the settings for) adding highlighting
to the right click context menu when "text selection" is selected.
UI-wise this would be a great improvement, if instead of having to select a
highlighting tool in the menu, users could also just use the text-selection
tool for everything in combination with the right-click context menu to enable
various actions for the selected bit of text (eg various highlighting options,
add comments, etc).
