I think you can be pretty certain that most nouns in the English
language have already been registered. To stand a decent chance of
getting the domain name you want, it's probably going to have to be a
foreign language word, or words joined together (the Germans are great
at that... take Flugabwehrkanone for example... more commonly known as
Flak).

It's probably best to keep away from derivations of trademarked names all
 together.

Weaver has nothing to do with Dreamweaver and related trademarks as well
as Point has nothing to do with powerpoint and related trademarks as
well as Fox has nothing to do with firefox or firebird and related
 trademarks.

We are not dropping GNU because it creates confusion, but because we
have nothing to do with them.

The comparison with Adobe is silly because we are not renaming openpbx
 to AdobePBX.

 How about VoxToaster?

The toaster part seems OK. There used to be various toaster products
from various companies, so I don't think anyone has a hold on that. I'm
not so happy with the vox part. Its too voice specific.

Or get a name in a different TLD. Several of the country code TLDs will
sell domains to anyone.

And because I am not seeing much in the way of actual development
discussion, I am just going to put this here because everyone seems to
be paying attention. My thought is...

Since Asterisk and an asterisk... OpenPBX is based on Asterisk, so what
about:

Solidus

Baring that, I think I am going to dig up the code for that random
online-name generator, get some of the local brew and see what I can
come up with.
