Some two years ago ``shambles'' asked:

Several responses suggested alternatives, then the thread seems
to have petered out.  In the interim, has anyone succeeded in
doing this?  I have an Ultra60 running Solaris 9, a Linksys WMP54G
(version 4) not doing anything, a wificonfig package which does
not execute, and a ral driver which does not attach.  Does anyone
know how to start this car?  Please note that my question is not
whether to do this, but how.  Any help is much appreciated.

I dunno about internal PCI cards, but you could always attache
one of those RJ45 to WiFi adaptors to it.  That device would
transparantly convert from hme to Wifi (no additional drivers
required).  Probably not quite what you're looking for, but
maybe an acceptable compromise...

Hi Sean,

There are no plans for doing it at this time, but if
you're interested in porting of the Atheros driver
to SPARC yourself, please let us know.  Next MadWifi driver
release will include SPARC version of the Atheros HAL, and
it was reported to work on NetBSD/SPARC.
