[openthinclient-user] Smartcard and ICA, where to start?

2014-02-10 Thread Mario Giammarco
Hello,
I am evaluating openthinclient and it is great.
I need to attach an usb card reader to linux pc to use under a citrix
session.
So, I suppose, I need an usb redirection. Is it possible?
I have tried ica11 and ica12 and it does not work.
I am pretty sure that server configuration is ok because it works with
Praim and wyse thin clients.

Can you help me? I have seen similar posts in this mailing list but I do
not understand if the ica12 package in stable distribution is already
updated or not.

Can you tell me where to start?

Thanks,
Mario

[openthinclient-user] Package Manger in OpenThinclint Consus is empty

2014-02-10 Thread Semir Trabelsi
Hello, maybe I can help someone, I am working in a grade
OpenThinClient and have a VM machine with the current version of Consus.
Unfortunately I have no packages, not even the required RDP to connect
to a terminal server build. The VM comes to the Internet, because it should
not be so. The clients find the manager too, but as I said I can not add
packages or update via the package manager, I get none, he tried it only
once and then aborts with an error message: can directory object does not
show: null, in Troubleshooting the website unfortunately, is only that
you should try it directly from the OTC server and not a client on which
the Manager is running, I do, but nothing helps.

[openthinclient-user] VLC

2014-02-10 Thread Sebastian Klempin
Hello folks.

I would like to remember my VLC problem:
Because the installed VLC Player ditn’t support UPNP, i must mount the source
directory via SMB.
But now we have a new problem. The installed VLC 0.8.6 will not play current
codecs like H264.
How do you get a latest version of VLC installed?

yours sincerely,
Sebastian

Re: [openthinclient-user] VLC

2014-02-10 Thread Stecher, Alexander
Hello,

try to use the mplayer, it plays many codecs and is available in the
repository.
http://archive.openthinclient.org/openthinclient/v1/manager/

We can build a new VLC-package as a service.
But we only do this for the new version Consus.
If you want to try yourself to build a VLC-application-package, we'll
launch a documention in the next weeks.

If you're interested, please stay in touch.

Regards.
