This is due to new behaviour in Perl 5.18. I submitted a patch for this
 issue two weeks ago.

But again... why is there no wget-nossl-no-docs.patch?
IMHO a project focussed on Linux-embedded can save build-time by not
generating any doc-files.

There exist already a patch from the GNU/wget BTS (see quote below).
This is is what the Freetz router has in its archives [1].

Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] dhcpv6.script being triggered a lot

2013-10-01 Thread Steven Barth

Hi Nathan,

actually it's not that easy. Especially if the contents are the same
this means an update. This is because most contents of the RA contain a
validity timer in seconds.

Thus if you sent 2 successive RAs with the same contents with a 3 second
difference the second RA increases the validity of the contents by 3
seconds (as it arrived 3 seconds later).

Cheers,

True, but does it need to be passed on to netifd? Depends on who
maintains/monitors the validity timers I guess.

Does the interface need to be torn down and rebuilt just for a validity timer
update (barring the case when the update makes it go invalid)?

Hi.

I understand the backwards compatibility issue but the problem with the
fallback to name approach is that there is no clean way to have a zone

I'd rather change the documentation on this and maybe add a uci-defaults

Actually I prefer to explicitly set the network as well, but I ran into
this problem while upgrading an existing configuration to AA.

[OpenWrt-Devel] dslite interface not getting active

2013-10-01 Thread Hans Dedecker
I'm running the following configuration (dslite interface on top of a
native IPv6 interface)

config interface 'wan6'
option proto 'dhcpv6'
option ifname 'eth4.5'

config interface 'dslite'
option proto 'dslite'
option peeraddr '3001:::1'
option tunlink 'wan6'

The native IPv6 interface (wan6) gets up but the dslite interface does
not get up when an ifup wan6 is done in my setup.
Looking into the dslite.sh script the function proto_dslite_setup adds
a host dependency on a default IPv6 route and the tunlink interface
parameter in this case wan6.
The netifd daemon does not trigger the dslite script when the wan6
interface is up because no default IPv6 route is found when the wan6
interface gets up.
The netifd daemon is informed by the dhcpv6 script which is triggered
by an odhcp6c daemon bound event; but at that moment no default IPv6
route is present in the env variable RA_ROUTES.
A few moments later the odhcp6c daemon triggers a ra-updated event
with the default route; but since the wan6 interface is already is up
in the netifd daemon the dslite interface is not triggered anymore.
The odhcp6c implementation launches a bound event but does not check
if a ra has been processed; a ra-updated event will only be launched
if the dhcpv6 client is bound or slaac_only equals 0.
Wouldn't it be better to launch the bound event when at least one ra
is processed (which in fact is done for the ra-update event as bound
needs to be active) to solve the observed problem ?

Hans

Could you please check if the current version improves behaviour for you?

Also alternatively could you please check in your /etc/config/6relayd if
compat_ula is set to 1 and if so remove it or set it to 0?

nothing strange because nobody enables block-mount in that router.
What i can do to help with this issue?

Made another test with BB r38248 and this time the number of renamed
files decreased a lot; maybe filename length?
Still no idea if it is due to the updates in the modules of the new
init process or the move to kernel 3.10.13 in bcm63xx target.

[OpenWrt-Devel] AsiaRF build, no images output

2013-10-01 Thread Shawn Lewis
I'm not getting factory/sysupgrade images for the ramips asiarf target.

If I build the default target profile I get all the other ramips images. If
I manually select Asiarf AWM002-EVB I get vmlinux and other precursors to
the actual image, but no flashable factory/sysupgrade images.

Tried from trunk as of yesterday evening PST:

svn://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/trunk@38267

and

svn://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/trunk@37561

Re: [OpenWrt-Devel] dhcpv6.script being triggered a lot

2013-10-01 Thread Nathan Hintz

Hi Steven:

Thank you for taking the time to look at this.

compat_ula was set to 1 in /etc/config/6relayd; setting it to 0 eliminated
the logging every 3 seconds by the avahi-daemon in my down stream linux box.
The change to netifd didn't have any effect on this, which I believe is as
expected.

With the updated netifd, similar logging by the avahi-daemon running on the
router has been eliminated as well (it wasn't occurring nearly as often though);
so the change appears to be having an effect. I am still seeing logging by
dnsmasq
on the router that it is re-loading it's configuration files anywhere between 0
and
roughly 6 times per minute (dnsmasq isn't being restarted, as it's the same
PID each time).
The same dnsmasq behavior was occurring with the previous version of netifd
as well.

I will let this run overnight, and let you know if I see anything else.

I had a similar issue with another board: it looks like the OpenWrt build
system doesn't like board names containing a dash sign (-), try renaming it.

 Hi Nathan,

I just pushed an update to netifd.
Could you please check if the current version improves behaviour for you?

Also alternatively could you please check in your /etc/config/6relayd if
compat_ula is set to 1 and if so remove it or set it to 0?

 Cheers,

Hi Steven:

netifd eventually crashed:

Tue Oct 1 21:57:58 2013 daemon.notice netifd: wan6 (1382):
Segmentation fault

Could this be due to continuing to call system_add_address(dev, a_new);
without
ever calling system_del_address(dev, a_old);?
