Try adding these lines to your Privoxy default.action file - one of
them should fix your problem.

  = begin ==
{ -crunch-all-cookies -filter -fast-redirects -hide-referer
-kill-popups -prevent-compression }
.yahoo.com

{-fast-redirects}
.yahoo.com/.*done=http

{+fast-redirects{check-decoded-url} -block}
.*rd.yahoo.com/
rds.yahoo.com/
  = end ==

I don't remember ever having a problem logging out of Yahoo using a
browser with javascript disabled. I did have a problem using Firefox
with everything enabled... I think it was the
 .yahoo.com/.*done=http

that fixed the logout problem - but I'm not sure so I included all of
my privoxy rules for yahoo.

Your problem description is pretty vague, but if by package you mean
the Tor Vidalia bundle that also contains Privoxy, this might be related to:

Try disabling all the filters and trying again. (you'll need to
restart privoxy after editing the configuration for the seetings to
work again). If you're concerned about anonymity/privacy make sure you
disable java/javascript/flash/etc.

2007-06-12 Thread Kyle Williams

I had a problem with this too sometime last year when we tested JanusVM.
I tried to edit privoxy rules, but nothing seemed to fix it.
There was something in the URL that was messing it up, but I never figured
out what.
However, there is a part of the URL that works by itself.

Example:

The logout URL is:
http://us.ard.yahoo.com/SIG=12juheg3g/M=289534.10756690.11362500.5333790/D=mail/S=150500014:HEADR/Y=YAHOO/EXP=1181710959/A=4595965/R=10/SIG=140k91pnt/*http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?logout=1.src=ym.intl=us.direct=1.done=http://www.yahoo.com.last=http://mail.yahoo.com

I don't know why they put all the extra crap in the beginning of the URL,
but the part you want is:
http://login.yahoo.com/config/login?logout=1

If this is something you are going to be using often, then make a bookmark
for Yahoo Logout with the above URL.

Also, coderman and I messed with this URL from Yahoo with both privoxy and
squid settings for a couple of weeks, but to no avail. So if anyone figures
this one out, please post back here so we can get this updated in JanusVM.

Thank you.

It turns privoxy into a straight http proxy, rather than a filtering
proxy.
