Re: [Oscar-users] Oscar not fully dead
I was indirectly involved in OSCAR when the GSoC selected an OSCAR project that integrates Grid Engine into OSCAR, as I was a member of the open source Sun Grid Engine at that time. Since the Open Grid Scheduler project is now the official version of open-source Grid Engine (we are now outside of Oracle), we are happy to accept changes from the OSCAR-Grid Engine integration project or other changes from the OSCAR project. In fact, we have a few useful changes that are useful for many HPC sites: In last years's GE2011.11 release: http://gridscheduler.sourceforge.net/Releases/ReleaseNotesGE2011.11.pdf In the upcoming GE 2011.11 update 1 release: http://blogs.scalablelogic.com/2012/05/grid-engine-cgroups-integration.html Rayson == Open Grid Scheduler - The Official Open Source Grid Engine http://gridscheduler.sourceforge.net/ On Tue, Jun 19, 2012 at 11:45 AM, Gerald Henriksen ghenr...@gmail.com wrote: I asked on the devel list and one of the developers replied that he was working on getting Oscar built on Centos 6.2 though he has run into a problem. The other solutions still dont quite cut it and there is a lot of manual intervention to get a cluster up and running. Have not really been a fan of Rocks. Is OSCAR looking for developers?
