Re: [osg-users] Wash DC OSG Users Group meeting?
Hi all -- There's been a lot of interest in a DC users group meeting, but alas, no one has stepped forward with a good location, and the hotel I'm staying at is booked solid. At this point, I'll recommend we do not have a users group meeting. While the OSG training course is a good impetus for organizing such a meeting, it seems that there's sufficient interest in OSG in the DC area that you should be able to have a gathering without Bob and I present, so I want to encourage you all to get together anyway, whenever is convenient. [osg-users] Wash DC OSG Users Group meeting?
Hi all -- Many of you have asked if there would be a UG meeting in conjunction with the upcoming OSG training in Washington DC, March 9-12 (see http://www.skew-matrix.com/training.html). The best evening for me would be the last day of the course, Thursday March 12. Unfortunately, the hotel I'm staying at does not have a meeting room available. Can anyone suggest an alternate location? (My hotel is just a few blocks away from the White House; perhaps President Obama would rent us a room? Ha ha.) I'm not very familiar with what's open in the area late. I would suggest the Corner Bakery on 14th (about a block east of the White House), but they close at 6. Perhaps a nearby hotel would have a small room available? Union Station has several less expensive eating options and they close at 9, but it's not very close to the White House. ___ osg-users mailing list osg-users@lists.openscenegraph.org http://lists.openscenegraph.org/listinfo.cgi/osg-users-openscenegraph.org
