I installed this version but experience problems using my LCD display.
The problem occurs after using a script or the directory listing.

I change the message string (/tmp/1wire/29.50640400/LCD_H/message).

I receive the following message when i try to use the directory listing.

The 1-wire web server is carefully constrained
for security and stability.
Your requested device is not recognized.

When i try the following command: /opt/etc/init.d/S70owserver start.
I can change the message once and then everything stops functioning again.

The following problem also occurs:
I have a 4 line LCD display and normally i write 4 lines of text.
But now the last part of line 4 (about 8 characters) is
displayed on the first line.

2010-05-16 Thread Christian Magnusson

It looks like your owserver-process core-dumps when you access that
29.50640400/LCD_H/message file.

I'm afraid that I have no such 1-wire device, and it would be best to
try gdb/valgrind and debug owserver on a bigger linux-distribution to
make sure there are no bad memory accesses.

I don't think it's a specific problem for the NSLU2 package when it
core-dumps like that.

Turn on the core-dumps, and start owserver in the foreground.

# ulimit -a
# ulimit -c unlimited
# ulimit -a
# cd /tmp
# owserver --foreground --error_level=2 -p 4304 -u
(I'm not sure if you srat

Try to access the page and see if it create a core-file under /tmp/core*
This core-file could be analyzed with gdb, so send it to me if you can
re-create it.

Tell me how it goes...

[Owfs-developers] OWFS for NSLU2 Debian Lenny

2009-10-12 Thread Mr Doug -
I checked in on this many months ago and it was in the works??

Is there a package/driver for Debian Lenny on the NSLU2 for OWFS. The last time
I checked it was not yet available or in the ARM package.

I want to use OWFS devices via USB to monitor a remote location using the NSLU2

[Owfs-developers] owfs on NSLU2 - DEBIAN

2009-01-20 Thread horn.beat

hello,
I am looking for a owfs port to NSLU2 Debian.
Can somebody help me?
I know, there are ports to NSLU2 unslung and openslug - but I have already a
working debian system at a remote place running FHEM, where I need to add
owfs (at least owserver and owhttpd).
regards
Beat

Re: [Owfs-developers] owfs on NSLU2

2006-05-05 Thread Paul Alfille
Don't know yet. I was going to test it against a 9097U to see if it's a USB thing.

Also (if unrelated) I'm going to change the directory cache handling --
/uncached doesn't seem to renew the cache, and there are potential race
conditions currenty. The new design will be one large blob for the
direcdtory -- an array of serial numbers stored in one cache record.
Now that I have the directory_search structure, which stores the
search state when emmiting directory elements, I can use it to store
the blob, and correct the design.

Its compiled natively right now, so I dont

Ill try to make a cross-compilation just to
create a ipkg package If I fail you could always get a tar-file from me
with all compiled files, but it shouldnt be very hard I think.
