Tab to list and select your file with in the relevant folder and press enter and the file will open and decompress. 5. Once the file is open press alt and arrow down to Save As and press enter. 6 if you wish name your file. 7. Tab to save as and select your file type by using your arrow keys. 8 tab to save and it will be done. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Angel L Adorno Sent: 15 January 2008 10:49 To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Subject: need converting instructions for gold wave. hi list can any one send me the steps I need to do to convert a file in gold wave? Re: Changing plugins in winamp
That's the problem, i am not seeint an output or an input plugin. I am thinking of doing a re-install, cause i think there was a problem with it. One of the things i see it says missing files. That indicates to me there is an issue. On Jan 15, 2008, at 6:27 AM, Kulvinder Singh Bhogal wrote: Hi there Go to preferences, arrow down to output and tab once. Help! Winamp too helpful while playing Cds
Posting this to two lists, but not off-topic for either. I've used Winamp for some time and am now using 5.5 something. I'm being driven mad by its compulsion to go off and try and find a track listing for CDs I've recorded myself (my own recordings in these cases.) What can I do to stop it doing this? Tried various settings under online options, all to no evail. Anyone got the answer please? RE: HD radio
Very well said Bob. The format wars are further complicated by the fact that the US is using a different standard from the predominant digital radio standard in the rest of the world although they are trying hard to get other countries interested. This seems to me like cell phones all over again. The US went down their own road, but eventually GSM, the world standard, has started to dominate. I hope HD Radio dies a natural death, as I don't particularly like the idea of having to have one radio for the US when I travel there, and another for the rest of the world. I'm sure people from the US who travel elsewhere feel the same. Jonathan -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bob Seed Sent: Saturday, 12 January 2008 10:16 a.m. To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: HD radio I wouldn't waist my money on HD radio at this time, as HD radio is still in the experimental stages of its development. There are still a number of technical issues that have to be ironed out. In Canada, for an example HD licences for broadcasters are issued conditionally on an experimental basis only. If I had my druthers I would purchase a satellite radio before going HD. When was the last time that you heard an ad on television saying that the latest model of a given car comes complete with an HD radio? We all know what happened to am stereo,it appeared to be a good idea at the time, however the manufacturers of radio receivers failed to come through with the goods, and the system failed. Another example was the Sony beta system, as the public showed favour towards the VHS cassette. Now we are faced with another dilemma, blue ray up against yet another competitive format. I have had a satelite radio for almost two years now, and frankly would not switch back. Some times it is best to sit on the sidelines for awhile until such time that all of the technical bugs of a given system are ironed out. - Original Message - From: chris ramsay [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Friday, January 11, 2008 1:29 PM Subject: Re: HD radio i got a sony hd radio and and am very pleased with it although it is not the best for am broadcasts it does a better job than any of the others i tested. chris ramsay - Original Message - From: Cornell Ligon [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC Audio Discussion List pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Friday, January 11, 2008 10:47 AM Subject: RE: HD radio you can get a ton of HD radio info at www.hdradio.com with local listings in a given area. from what I understand from one of my local audio dealers, audiocraft in greater cleveland, most aren't very good for am broadcasts. I should be clearer about the radio's limitations, based on the model I bought about two years ago. It's terrible on AM, so you'd buy it only for FM. Also, there are five-second delays any time you switch to an HD broadcaster, as I believe is standard with HD. However, I also find the radio doesn't come up right away when I turn it on, and very occasionally won't come up at all until I unplug the AC adaptor and reconnect it to the outlet. I have another radio right next to it for the times I want immediate reception, such as a news broadcast at the top of the hour. But for me, the pure clarity of the Boston Acoustics HD's musical sound outweighs its eccentricities. To purchase or read reviews of HD component tuners, I would turn to C Crane, an online and phone-order company that is responsive to queries from visually impaired customers: http://www.ccrane.com/ - Original Message - From: Stephen Guerra how much was it Stephen A.
