Re: Fwd: A sneak peek at this week's Main Menu
Think Jamie got his dates a bit mixed up; today is the 31st of August, making Thursday the 2nd of September, not Friday. And thus, Saturday is the 4th of September, not the 3rd. Previously, Steve Pattison said: From:Jamie Pauls jamiepa...@sbcglobal.net To: annou...@acbradio.org Greetings all: This is not the official announcement for this week's Main Menu show, but I wanted to give you all a heads up on what to expect this week. Neal Ewers was gracious enough to do a review of the new Zoom H1 digital recorder and allow Main Menu to run it before it is placed on other sites. The Zoom H1 has no menus. Neal has some very interesting observations about this recorder. In addition to Neal's piece, we have a very special surprise that we are not quite ready to talk about yet. It will be in the full announcement, though. Remember that this week's Main Menu airs at 1 UTC on Saturday September 3, or Friday September 2 at 8 PM Eastern. Re: trouble splitting files with mp3 direct cut
the production work needed is manual not automatic. I find it necessary to use the JAWS cursor to go to the time menu in MP3 Direct Cut to move to a time location in the file to edit it into discrete segments without splitting it at random time intervals and chopping off an interesting sscene or conversation. Getting to a time location in MP3 direct Cut is explained in the audio tutorial. Kelly On 8/27/10, Johnny Angel! j...@neo.rr.com wrote: Hi Joanne, Did you ever get an answer for your questions below? I'm trying to create tracks in single hour long MP3 audio files so as to make it easier for the listner to jump around by tracks within the file. I'm also having trouble figuring out how to use and adjust pause detection. Please let me know what you have learned about this. Thanks, Johnny At 08:46 AM 7/17/2010, you wrote: I am trying to split a huge file with several TV episodes on it. I'm obviously not figuring out the pause detection thing right, because no matter how I adjust the numbers in the list of options I may get anywhere from 2 to 15 pauses. Is there a better program that can detect a longer pause, such as when a show ends, and just cut the episodes into parts? Or does MP# Direct Cut have a feature I'm unaware of? How do all of you split large files and make them start and end episodes so well? Thanks. Kind of frustrated. Winamp problem
Actually the problem isn't Winamp. It is really operator error, otherwise known as big time screw up. Despite the fact that I have checked always on top, I cannot keep the Winamp main window visible. Incidentally, this is Winamp 5.572 or something like that. Stated another way, it disappears when I alt tab away. Additionally, whenever I attempt to maximize Winamp's main window, it will not stay maximized. So pardon my ignorance, folks, but just what did I mess up, and what's the appropriate fix? Thanks. Re: Winamp problem
My always on top is not checked. Is the main window checked in the winamp sub menu? Also what skin is it set to? It should be on classic only. I hope this helps. On 8/31/2010 11:24 AM, Donald L. If you do upgrade to version 5.5.81, be aware that the move after current jump option doesn't work properly. I went back to 5.5.72 for that reason.
