Greetings, Often there are contract reasons for not broadcasting live, you may still be able to get the programs off the listen again facility. Another Wireless Headset
I've ordered another Wireless Headset, I'm most impressed with the Plantronics Audio 995 Wireless Headset as discussed here on list. I also keep hearing very good reports regarding the Logitech H800 headset so decided to get my hands on one and put it through its paces, the 2 year warrantee was also an attractive porposition. I can only hope that this headset is better constructed than the Logitech monstrosity I owned some years ago, very poorly constructed, poor quality cable, poor quality ear pads and so on, the set literally fell to bits and towards the end it was held together with packing tape. Anyway as most of you will probably know, the H800 can either work with your PC or work using Bluetooth from a smart device say an iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S4 or whatever so the interesting point will be just how good the Bluetooth standard used actually is? I doubt it will Bluetooth 4 but you never know. ** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone U.K. 01245 79 0598 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 Mobile: +61400494862 faceTime +61400494862 Fax +61397437954 Twitter: @grtdane

In this eMail I'd like to refer to another way of recording Skype calls, if you have a Mac you can use Audio Hijack Pro, all you need do is run the App and select the Record From Skype template and tweak to your requirements. When the Hijack mode from Record To Skype is enabled a Skype call will be recorded whenever Audio Hijack Pro detects any audio activity from Skype. Further to this Audio Hijack Pro is fully compatible with Apple Automator Scripts and workflows therefore offering further enhancement and automation of the Skype recording process, you could for example have a Skype call recorded an automatically put into an iTunes playlist, have the call logged or archived etc, its all down to your imagination. Automator Scripts and workflows are easily put together through the Apple Automator Application which forms part of OSX Mavericks and earlier OSX Operating Systems. Re: Another Wireless Headset
Hello Dane: I have the headset under discussion. Battery lasts six hours. You can use it whilst it is being charged. Although I have not put it through all its paces, I really like this headset. It comes with a microphone which can be swung away to an upright position when not in use. Our children have paired it with every bluetooth thingy they have and it has worked flawlessly. You can truly plug it in and forget it. Sincerely, Olusegun Denver, Colorado --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com

The Pure Contour 100DI
Hi Dane. I seem to recall back in late November that you bought one of these sets, and again, from memory I think you were pretty content with its sound, build and features? Three months down the line I was wondering if you had changed your opinion, or would you still say for the money that this would be a pretty decent option for a smaller room? I ask because I myself am torn between the Contour 100DI and the Teac SR80I. Docks with DAB radio seem to be a pretty rare breed, and these two do appear to be a couple of the better offerings. So Dane, still happy to give a thumbs up to the Pure Contour? Thanks. Darran

Put it this way, the microphone of the Audio 995 is damn good so the question is, can the microphone of the H800 meet that standard? I'm on several lists and other people have commented about the poor performance of the Plantronics microphones on headsets, they must be referring to models other than the Audio 995, even the microphone of the Audio 478 which is a USB headset is pretty good or perhaps my hearing is far worse then I ever thought possible smile. trouble installing mp3 skype recorder
I'm atempting to install mp3 skype recorder. However, every time I press enter on the icon containing the .msi file extention, I keep getting a message telling me that I have to first install something called Microsoft.net framework version 4.0 or higher in order to continue with the installation. Being that I'm an average everyday computer user, who doesn't mess around with my operating system, I have no idea as to what this all means. What is Microsoft.net Framework 4.0? Why do I need this? and where can I get it? Is it possible to install this so-called Microsoft Framework thing, without messing up my computer? I know that this may sound somewhat silly, but as I said, I'm no computer geek and I'm not comfortable tampering with Windows in a technical manner. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Re: Sony voice recorder
Hi Pat, I'll tell you like I told Nancy, On my units, the uppermost button on the right side of the recorder erases. You press it once and the message to be erased begins playing. While its playing, press the same button a second time and you get a beep and the message is erased. Now, Nancy says that doesn't work like that with her model. Granted all the recorders I have are 3 or more years in age, but they all work like that. I guess perhaps some new changes have happened.
