Re: connecting a deJay turntable to a computer?

Is the volume from the turntable low?

if that is the case then I would suggest getting a small pre-amp.

Subject: connecting a deJay turntable to a computer?

Hi all,

I have a turntable that was given to me years ago.
It has hard wired RCA leads.
I have connected them to the line in of my soundcard but don't get any
usable sound.
All the volumes etc. are set properly because other devices connected work.

Does anyone know what I need?

Hi!

The topic of AirPlay and wireless streaming often comes up here so thought that
other list members may find this article of interest, the article is very well
detailed and - even though I've been using AirPlay for ages - I still enjoyed
the read.

Ah, ok, thank you. Even without the scene stuff, it's a wonderful
device, I've been really happy with how it sounds, I just wanted to make
sure. :)
Take it easy.

No, you can't do those things like stereo imaging and sceens on the LS14
recorder, but you can turn on or off the central microphone on it.
I don't know so much about those older recorders, but I know, that Neal

Hey all,
Having just purchased an Olympus ls-14 and gotten a hold of the pdf
version of the manual, I ran into a question I can't seem to find an
answer to.
I know that it makes mention to the ability to toggle on and off the
center microphone, but I can't figure out if it's also possible to
change the degree of stereo separation, the ability to select scenes, as
with some of the cheaper models, the dm-620.
I wasn't sure if I was just missing something in one of the menus, or if
it wasn't available to the ls recorders.
thank you.
Blessings.

I think Bose may still have their Sounddock portable which was like this,
and so was the sound dock 10.

Subject: Sound dock recommendations needed

A few weeks ago, the subject of sound docks for IOS devices was
discussed to some extent. I want to make sure that my understanding of the
type of system under discussion is correct. I understand sound dock to mean
an amplifier/speaker system which contains some sort of platform with a
30-pin connector for iPhones 3GS, 4 or 4S. If we are on the same page, I
would like recommendations for good quality systems which can function on AC
power. If it also functions on batteries, this too is fine. I need the
kind with the 30-pin connector because I know that there are some real
bargains out there, and also because I want to play my 4 and 4S through such
a device. Please tell me the good and bad points of any such device with
which you are familiar. I would especially appreciate brand and model
numbers if you know them.

Thanks for feedback.
