RE: Using windows media player.
I just go into the folder in which the files are, select them out of the order in which you'd think you should then hit enter. Bamm it plays in the right order. I do this with movie audio I extracted with DVD Estractor. So for an example of what I mean about going in the order that you wouldn't expect, I'll use Godzilla 2014. So for the first time he shows up, you need chapters 6 and 7. But you have to select 7 then 6. Then whin you hit enter, it will play them in the right order. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Carliss Sent: Wednesday, December 24, 2014 4:11 AM To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Subject: Using windows media player. Playing DVD files in VLC?
Hello everyone. My usual video viewing on the computer involves loading an avi or .mkv container file into VLC. These play without a hitch normally and I'm very happy with the player for video functionality even though feedback from jAWS is rather minimal at times. But now I have a situation where I have been given a ripped DVD on a USB drive. It's the full DVD, which means it includes the Video TS and Audio TS folders, a whole lot of .mov files, etc. And try as I might, I haven't been able to get it to work in VLC. I'm pretty sure the folder is loaded, and it shows all the different audio tracks, a chapter menu, etc, but I'm not getting any sound when I select them. What am I missing? I'd really like to be able to watch this tonight! I don't need any of the extras, just to play the main title on the DVd from beginning to end. Any help from those experienced here would be appreciated. I am going to move soon and am going to be looking for a talking microwave. It looks like there are several out there and I was wondering what might be the best and what experiences anybody has had with any of them. Thanks and sorry if it's considered off topic.
