Dane, Have you seen anything on the release of their HD component tuner? And you have every reason to be glad - if you like radio that is -. Tomorrow sees the long awaited release of the Sangean HDR16 HD Stereo Portable radio. I don't have details on this radio at present but I certainly will have shortly as a friend of mine will be paying a visit to a retailer to pick one up so it won't be long till Universal Radio start stocking them and we start seeing reviews. All i can say is - if its a Sangean product - then we're sure to see something good and worth having. So now we know why Donald Trump spoke to the President of Tiawan, he wanted to be sure that the good quality radio sets from Sangean kept flowing to the US, Sangean is a Taiwanese company just in case you didn't know and they've been in the business of making radio sets and other communications equipment since 1974.

Re: SV: ChromeCast.
Yes as I thought and I reckon the later Chromecast stuff would support the 5.0GHZ Wi-Fi band. As I recall the Chromecast does have its own inteligence to a point, meaning that it is able to take a stream from an external source such as Youtube and stream even if the App on the phone or whatever is turned off, problem is then of course that you can't stop the stream . Why should you have an Airport Express with a Chromecast or is one better than the other? Yep, one certainly does have better audio than the other and that's the Airport Express however it really doesn't matter when all is said and done because you won't be able to buy an Airport Express for much longer and I don't even know whether you can actually still buy one anyway. Does it connects directly to the stream itself instead of getting the info via the phone like the airport express? So why should i have the airport express then? Can most apps stream through chromeCast on the Iphone? TuneinRadio can do that and i guess vlc but how about apple Music and how about other apps? Thanks. /A
Re: ChromeCast.
Spotify has the facilities to make use of your Chromecast. I don't have an Apple TV right at the moment though I suspect that - if I wanted to use a Chromecast to stream all the Documentary's and stuff I bought with my Apple TV - then I'd be right out of luckOn 20/12/2016 4:52 AM, Mary Otten wrote: Once the phone or tablet has sent the audio or audio plus video to the Chromecast, the Chromecast stream is using Wi-Fi directly from the source. annoying behaviour of voice dream reader on ios lately
Hi all I have always and am still a huge fan of voice dream reader on my iphone but lately the programme is acting up. In the past, I could stop the program, do something else on the phone and then return to boice dream. The program would return me to the exact place where I left off. Lately, when reading an audio book consisting of multiple mp3 files, it will return me to the beginning of the file I was busy with and not to the exact place in the fiole where I stopped. I know it can be remedied by inserting a bookmark where you sstoppped each time. The point though is that in the past it was not necessary. Has anyone found this lately with voicedream? Regards André
