Windows 10 default apps

3. Scroll down until you see "Music Player"

Windows 10 default apps

4. Choose your alternative

Windows 10 default music player

You'll see Groove Music is selected currently, and this is what you
want to change. Click on the box and you'll be presented with a list
of apps you have installed that are suitable for this category.
Simply select your favorite and it will now become the default music

I know these directions are given from a sighted user's perspective,

You have wasted a lot of time going off on tangents. I strongly recommend
that you read the following and make sure that
you understand what you are being told.

Put your DVD in the drive.

Start VLC player.

Use Control+D to bring up the disk dialogue.

Tab through this dialogue and make sure that the DVD appears in the field
that indicates the disk that will be opened. If
your target DVD is not in that field because you have more than one DVD
drive then use the browse button to move to the
correct drive.

Once you have verified that you have the correct disk selected, use the
shift+tab button to go back to the play button.

Press space on the play button and after 10 to 30 seconds (depending on the
preference of the DVD manufacturer), the DVD
will begin to play.

To play or pause the DVD use the space bar.

Use P only if you want to start playback from the very beginning.

The playback menu can be reached by Alt+L .

In the playback menu you will find:

Title - which will tell you the length of the titles on the DVD
Chapter - which tells you about the chapters of the selected title
Program which will probably show as being unavailable
Speed
Custom bookmarks
Jump forward (see the keyboard shortcuts below)
Jump backward See below
Jump to specific time see below
Previous title
Next title
Previous Chapter
Next Chapter
Play
Stop
Previous
Next
Record

So, to do what you say you want to do in your original message, press space
to make sure your DVD is playing, press space
again to pause playback then use Alt+l to go to the playback menu then go
down to the next title and press enter. Wait for
a few seconds for the program to adjust and then press space to resume
playback.

The following shortcut keys can be used rather than the jump item in the
playback menu:

Shift+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Very short jump (3 seconds)
Alt+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Short jump (10 seconds)
Ctrl+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Medium jump (1 minute)
Ctrl+Alt+Arrow Left/Arrow Right Long jump

When you are finished, control+q will close VLC.

Do not use the X or N keys in VLC or you will have unexpected consequences.

There is no need for you to use the pass next key function of your screen
reader for any command in VLC.

I was not able to do this in
jfw either. You can do it in NVDA. To turn the volume back up right
click
on the flash area, use the up and down arrows to go to settings. Click on
settings. Then hit the up arrow and while playing a video you will hear
the
volume rise. I hope this helps.

Unfortunately I did not follow this thread as I did not have this problem.

But now it has happened to me also!

My youtube seems to have been muted. I can find an unmute button but
there
is no way to activate it. Neither the space bar or the enter key works.
If I right click within the flash area and go to settings, I can also find

  Any help?

what country and U.S. state the station is based
in what genre they play and mainly what stream

shift+tab to move to the search results with the

Has anyone noticed that even with the FCC mandate, the TV shows that
need it the most, the action shows, don't have descriptive
video. Last Resort and Revolution are 2 examples of shows that
really needed descriptive video. The only way to find out the
details of what happened in these shows if you were watching them

What program are you talking about? If power dvd, yeah it does. I think
starting from virsion 8 it could. One warning though, the new virsions of
Power DVD aren't as accessible as the old ones. If VLC, I don't know. I

I like the program, but unless I'm missing something, it doesn't play the
Blue Ray format. From what I read, this format is the most likely to have a
Descriptive Video track included.

RE: an accessible dvd playing software

I wonder if any older versions will work with windows 7?

Power DVD is frinendly enough with DVDs. Especially the older versions of
it. The younglings on the other hand, not so much. But you have the easiest
one to use right now and don't even realize it. You hav 2 very good options
already. WMP, AKA Windows Media Player and WMC AKA Windows Media Center. Now
of the 2, I'd use WMP more. One thing to note, you'll have to use Narrator
since it'll see the Mirror driver as a second display, think you are a
pirate that just wants to coppy it, and won't bring it up. It works very
well though. I perhaps should do a pod cast on using WMP as a DVD player at
some point.

Friends, My brother called me, and well he's not familiar with jaws
or talkiing software for Ipods. Neither am I to be honest.

What are some good IPod brands that will be compatible with the
talking software or whatever to make it work?

I'm sorry if this sounds stupid or a out of it question.

Hello, most newer ipods have a talking software called VoiceOver

the nanno or shuffle. Correct me if I'm wrong, but on the touch, if
you go with a 16 gig or higher, you'll get the VoiceOver feature. I
do not know much on the shuffles nor nannos sie but they may hold
true as well. Hope this gives you a place to start from.

Hi.

I've had an iPhone for just about a year. The touch screen isn't too bad to
use. It takes some getting used to, but it works well. If you want to use
a keyboard with the iDevice, you can buy a blue tooth keyboard and do most
of the functions that you can do with a touch screen.

Also, keep in mind that a device like the iPod touch or iPhone will do much
more than play music or other audio content. You can download apps to do
such things as listen to baseball games, play adventure games and many other
things. If you're just interested in music then other players will do the
job well.

Just my thoughts.
