Many of the Android devices available today are running the latest Bluetooth
Standards and Profiles available whereas the iPhone does not.

Whether this has anything to do with it I don't know.

I have a pair of Senheiser Bluetooth headphones here I bought 5 years
ago, can't remember the model number but the delay with the iPhone is
around a quarter of a second - quite acceptable - wheras the delay on
the Samsung Galaxy S6 is about a tenth of a second - perhaps a little
irritating but nothing that would seriously put you off your work -.

As I said with the hearing instruments I'm using delay is so small - if
any - that its not immediately noticed but I'd expect that given the
firmware of my Hearing Instruments is regularly updated and they are
just over 2 years old.

My recently purchased voyager legend has much much less of a delay than
my older voyager pro. Same thing on android with Nexus 6 and those
pieces.

The rumour is that Apple will rid the iPhone 7 of the Headphone jack.

Its an issue that doesn't worry me all that much as I already use
Bluetooth with my iPhone, I have a DAC unit I can plug standard
headphones into anyway which gives far better audio quality than comes
from the Apple headphone socket anyway and so it goes on.

This article is a no nonsense "both sides of the story" approach to the
comming day and is a good read.

never a serious problem with them, the manufacturers implemented
Bluetooth well but there's absolutely no delay now so they're excellent
to use whilst typing on a computer etc, none of the delay effect you
speak of and that we knew.
