Well then hope IPhone 7 will do so. -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Dane Trethowan Sent: Friday, June 24, 2016 12:22 PM To: PC Audio Discussion ListSubject: Re: Article: If you kill the headphone jack, you need to replace it with something better | Ars Technica Many of the Android devices available today are running the latest Bluetooth Standards and Profiles available whereas the iPhone does not. Whether this has anything to do with it I don't know. I have a pair of Senheiser Bluetooth headphones here I bought 5 years ago, can't remember the model number but the delay with the iPhone is around a quarter of a second - quite acceptable - wheras the delay on the Samsung Galaxy S6 is about a tenth of a second - perhaps a little irritating but nothing that would seriously put you off your work -. As I said with the hearing instruments I'm using delay is so small - if any - that its not immediately noticed but I'd expect that given the firmware of my Hearing Instruments is regularly updated and they are just over 2 years old. You mean delay was an issue with Bluetooth headphones? Thankfully this has improved beyond recognition. I use Bluetooth all the time with my hearing Instruments. Delay was never a serious problem with them, the manufacturers implemented Bluetooth well but there's absolutely no delay now so they're excellent to use whilst typing on a computer etc, none of the delay effect you speak of and that we knew.
