Hi All
As the subject line suggests I am looking for a manual for the H340
which I recently purchased. I have figured out how to do certain things
such as play books and songs and use the radio but I want to have a look
at the manual but am having problems. I have downloaded the manual from
the Iriver web site and off the installation cd but when I open it with
both adobe 6 and 7 Jaws version 6 cant read a bloody thing. Has anyone
managed to convert this manual to a format that is useful?

Hello Russell. The default setting for recording is via the line-in
jack where you can plug a mic or another source like a tape player, vcr,
etc. If you want to change the recording source to internal mic you
will need to do this vai the internal menus which unless you know the
order of will need sighted assistance. To record you do the ofollowing.
1. Power the unit by pressing the power/play button on the top right
side.
2. Press and hold the record button which is the only button on the
left side. Hold it in for about 1 to 2 seconds..
Now you are in recording mode. To start recording press the record
button once and the unit starts recording. To pause recording press the
record button and again to resume. If you want to stop recording, not
just pause press the stop button on the right side and wait for the file
to save which can take a few seconds. You are still in record mode so
to start a new file press the record button once and a new recording
will start.
