Gary, I am using Sarah's tutorial with no problem whatsoever. Perhaps you should try downloading the files onto your computer. Right click the link, arrow down to save target as and save it on your hard drive. Maybe that might work better for you. A great nation is like a great man: When he makes a mistake, he realizes it. The audio recordings with skype is quite good so long as you have a good solid connection. What version of skype are you using? For recording, you have a few options. Total recorder is one. If you have outlook (not outlook express), you can get skylook, which will let you record skype calls in outlook. Re: skype question
Hi, There is a square label in the back of the unit. This can be peeled carefully off, thus revealing three screw holes. The one closest to the edge of the machine is the one you want. With a small screw driver, turn this clockwise all the way. Stick the label back on and you're set. Not sure to what level this boosts the signal. I still cannot pick up the signal over a hundred feet or so, but its clearly better. Rusty At 09:30 PM 2/12/2006, Charles Reichardt spake thusly:- Hello listers. Hope I can post this here. I recently purchased a C Crane FM transmitter so that I can listen to books etc anywhere around the house. I seem to recall reading about a hidden screw somewhere in the unit that when turned, will increase the power/range. Can anyone shed some light on this. Thanks in advance. Re: skype question
Hi, At least in older versions of skype it would work with windows 98 even though it claimed it only worked with 2k and xp. Also, at the time, they claimed it wouldn't work on dialup, and it did as well. I never believe claims like that unless I personally tested it. - Original Message - From: Ray Slaton [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. Hi, Joe: On Tue, 25 Jan 2005 20:36:49 -0800, you wrote: hello friends, i am anxious to use skype, i have jaws four point five one, will it work with jaws, is it difficult to access, and do i download it from somewhere? any help will be much appreciated, joe. Skype, from http://www.skype.com (where else?) is very useable with JAWS even without scripts, although there is a set, but I don't know where you go to get it. I generally don't bother, it's pretty good without. The only must-have is XP. Don't know if it matters whether it's Home or Pro edition, but XP is a definite requirement.
