RE: The quality of books from audible.com
Another source for some of the same and other material is http://www.audiobookstand.com It's encoded in drm wmp. You can also buy books on cd or tape. They don't offer the same kind of reader plans, but the prices aren't too bad and there's always lots of stuff on sale. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dane Trethowan Sent: Friday, August 08, 2008 8:59 PM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: The quality of books from audible.com Ok, well I'll check to be sure but I take your point about some of the older books and that may be the reason why, I note that some of my books in my library are at a lower format than others. Anyway its a good service an because of what you've pointed, out I'll find out what format level each book is available up to, I've also made a point of purchasing more books on CD. I wouldn't use Audible for keepsakes, but for getting a book and listening to it, it's great, IMO. I'm not sure if what I'm trying to say makes any sense. Yep, perfect sense, I buy them and I want to keep them, as in listen to them over and over again. Now I don't want to make excuses here but my hearing probably isn't as good as yours either smile.
